- Опубликовано: 9 фев 2025
- We recently extended our 1960s house, adding space to the upstairs and downstairs of our home! You can watch the build process of our multi storey extension in this time-lapse! Render and brickwork was used to finish the exterior of our semi-detached house!
Enjoy!

Good job👍🏻
Absolutely f****** beautiful!
Amazing transformation, good job !!!
Got a semi detached and planning to do the same extension in the future
Thank you and good luck!
Those windows will date really quickly. This look is from the early 00s. Windows are rapidly turning to pale griege or satin wood finish.
What was the cost of that project ?
It looks amazing! I have a very similar looking 1960’s renovation and I can’t believe how different it looks!
Thank you!
@HardysflowersUkHow old is the house?
Beautiful!
Great video that really enjoyed it and what. A difference it makes wow
Beautiful house. 😎
Brilliant job
Great job
Brilliant transformation
Proper job
I feel sorry for the people in the house next door. Their solar panels will no longer get much light and the building plunges them into darkness.
Yeah I was about to say lol those solar panels will be useless
Panels can be relocated and the only windows blocked are bathroom privacy windows so no big deal no being plunged into darkness
The Sun is 147.62 million km away, I doubt they'll be 'plunged into darkness'
@@danielloshak4249and their neighbour is 0.01km away overshadowing the house. Obviously it’s going to have a significant impact on natural light
Depends which way the house is facing
I so wanna do that. Now I just need a house first
Wow how much was all that as I'm looking to do similar.
Wow.What area is this? That is HUGE! The planning dept in my council would just laugh at these plans.
煥然一新!
I would like to know the cost of this build and if I can use the builders hired for this job!
how much did it all cost to do?
Neighbour's PV installation will take a performance hit 😅
RIP to the neighbours solar panels
Just thinking exactly that
@@rentisme Right? Like it's a nice extension, but those poor solar panels will never see the light of day again.
The neighbours would have been able to contest the planning permission and obviously didn’t so it’s all good!
@@GeminiNight they will get sunlight don't worry
@@beepthesheep867 Good analysis there!
Hi how much did it cost with labour and materials pls as wanting a similar extension x
Now where will I keep the bins?
This was very interesting to watch. Thanks for the Timelapse. Quick question: How much did this extension cost?
Thank you, sorry for delayed response, going to release a video on costs soon.
Thanks, will be waiting
Did you demolish the internal walls?
I bet the people getting their solar put in shadow are thrilled.
that guy had solar and you built right over it haha thats gotta hurt
the foundation, is it he lens of the camera- setting - or was that foundation or first row of bricks not straight?
No shit threw them in
Hi mate, did this 2 storey extension create 2 new bedrooms?
How much did the double extension cost?
£2/3k per square meter. A 10x10ft space is 9.3 Meters so say it's, 20x10, at say 19 Meters, then there's upstairs too so that's about 38 meters overall. So cost wise you'd probably be looking about £2,500 * 38 = £95k.
@@Max-lf3txWhere in the UK was this, as I know prices vary according to location ??
@A4Natty it wasn't any location in particular. It's an average, you'll likely pay more in the southeast and less in the northeast for example. The differences won't be too big, though, as material are a big cost factor and that doesn't change much between areas.
Nice.. I have always asked myself if I'm going to purchase a house similar to this one with the intent of doing a two storey extension, how could I know beforehand if that will be allowed? Imagine purchasing and then not being allowed. Huge failure!
How long it took
Hello, around 5 months. We then had to wait a few extra months to have the render complete! :)
Cool
What happens to the drain pipe from the bathroom and toilets? Did the sitting room become a bedroom
How was the new space used
Good work

It’s a flipper special. Bet the interior is all grey walls, grey kitchen, blue led strip lighting everywhere, ash laminate flooring and grey/silver furniture and the bed head has Swarovski studs.
Typical hater just say you’re not a fan of the style and be done
@@callumlucas4444 but this style has been done a million times before. Every flipped house is a carbon copy of it. It’s almost a box ticking exercise going round the house. Sorry if you live in a house like this.
Agreed 🤮 hate it

How long it's take to build? Nice
The main build took from April to August, so 5 months... but we waited a while to have the front rendered, this was completed in December. As for the inside, that's still ongoing xD!
Never understand why people like this upload these videos then dont give viewers any idea of time scale or cost?
Costs will vary but you're right, I was about to ask the same question. A, per sq meter would be really useful. The timescale looks like a few months, maybe 4.
Yes it's annoying. So many questions in the comments but he can't be bothered.
Time scale is on the right top corner: start 2/3/2021 up to 17/12/2021
I think they should have remembered to do the chimney. Old bricks.
How long did this take
For the main build around 5 months. We had to then wait a few extra months for the Render to be completed :)!
How much does an extension like this cost?
Not less than £60K

I'd prefer to keep the brick and have an outer skin over that breezeblock rather than render, but otherwise looks decent. Shame the neighbours 5 windows and solar panels are now useless.

Stunning build and house, how much does something like that cost

Just ruined the neighbours solar panels 😂
And what about floor insulation? All I saw was dirt and concrete…
I wonder how much it cost. The solar panels from the neighbors roof are like ☹️☹️☹️
I was wondering about this too. Since the new construction is within 6 metres of the neighbouring building, wouldn't they be due compensation? At least allowing the panels to be relocated further down the roof.
@@simonbone Unfortunately the uploader doesn't give out any information about the total cost nor the neighbors solar panels.
Investing in a house is good…. But that is too much money for my view…. I bet it was around 60/80K …. Thats a good deposit for another house to rent and make money or even a good bussines!! But that’s me 😆😎

Oh dear, that looks so rubbish 😂 The wooden cladding doesn’t go with that render at all. It looks like some lame afterthought that’s been lashed on with No Nails 🤢
