  • @DavidFaxon

    Hey thanks for this video. Question, if you have a battery that has a bad cell and you need to retire it, do you suggest fully discharging it on this charger or buying on of those heat conductor things and having the battery drain completely that way before disposing? New to the hobby, thanks!

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! Either way should be fine. Instead of retiring the battery, take it apart and dispose of the bad cell if it completely cannot be recharged and save the good ones for another project :)

    I really want to buy this charger but I'm having a tough time finding the right parallel board(s) on Amazon. I pretty much only want to charge 2s and 3s batteries for my Leader 120 and all the boards I see seem to either only have xt60 connectors on the board, or if they have xt30 connectors (like all of my batteries), the main connectors from the board to the charger are banana plugs :( . I would also prefer it to have fuses of some kind. Any recommendations? Why does the Strix Joshua Bardwell line only do 1s 4s 5s and skips 2s and 3s altogether?

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  6 лет назад +1

      www.amazon.com/Xt30-plug-Parallel-Charging-Adaptor-Batteries/dp/B075GNJ28Q/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1531967748&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=xt30+parallel+board&psc=1
      you need to convert the connector to xt60.

    • @Cappurnikus
      @Cappurnikus 6 лет назад

      What you want is a connector from XT60 to Banana plugs. Having said that, make sure that your charger supports whatever balance lead comes with your charging board. I got the Strix JB 4s board which I assumed would come with a 4s balance lead... but it lead to a 6s connector which doesn't work with my charger.

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  6 лет назад

      Jared Krinsky
      Future proof meaning how long they will last needs to be determined with time but those are quad chargers having almost twice the price and bigger form factor.
      If you intend to charge batts in the field and want a more compact charger then I would choose the hobbymate.

      I have had the EV Peak CQ3 for about 5 weeks now. No problems at all. Works great. I can use it in the field with a car battery (haven't done that yet though...). I like the idea of charging 4 batteries at once. I got it at getfpv for $149 and free shipping. Note: it comes with xt60 banana connectors. I bought xt30 banana connectors from grayson hobby.
