    What a great adventure, well done. The Copiapoa Culumna Alba is a world beauty jewel which is not jet so appreciated. Also the importance to appreciate and the conservation of the natural habitat around us. The gift of God for all.

    Your videos are so nice and relaxing, and educational you could make them 30/45 minutes would be nice too. I moved from temperate climate to desert climate, so I would like to learn how to grow cactus and other plants I can grow well here.

    Tqvm for a great video. I'm a great admirer of cactus and succulents, coming frm equatorial rain forest Malaysia!! Despite d rainfall, I've managed to hav a good enough collection of both species. It's been my dream to visit these cacti in their natural habitat, but I know it's not dat easy to do so since there r very few tour groups, if any, dat arrange for such tours.
    Now, with health being an issue with me, I can only watch such videos in wonder in d comfort of my home! 😅 Admire u for your dedication in preserving these rare plants.

    Wow.
    This is the first time I have viewed your channel.
    I hope to visit often.
    These habitat videos are so important to us all.
    I have seen plants of Copiapoa here in Australia that were originally collected in Chile and sold via US nurseries.
    This was over 40 years ago, and as you know, not all collected plants survive, and Copiapoa are generally very slow growing.
    Many of those imported plants would probably have died.
    I believe the importation of Copiapoa plants into Australia is now prohibited under C.I.T.E.S. protocols which Australia has signed up to.
    Seed is probably allowed for import, but no plants.
    My first viewing of a Copiapoa here in Australia was Copiapoa cinerea.
    I have loved them ever since.

      Hi Geoff! Welcome and thank you for watching. I too saw cinerea first of all Copiapoa and fell in love. I’m glad Australia is part of cites and I wish countries like China and Thailand would join as well!

    Atleast you should take some water sprayers and spray them instead of boring

    • @RareCactus
      @RareCactus  8 месяцев назад +1

      That would kill them since it wasn’t the growing season. If you find these videos boring, you don’t have to watch them. I go through lots of work and sacrifice to make them so you can watch for free and then criticize 😊

    Is it legal to plant home grown cacti into the wild ?? If so it would be cool to work with D.N.R.C. and grow plants in greenhouse from seed and selectively plant them in areas needing replanting !!😮

    • @dash12cam
      @dash12cam 2 месяца назад

      My guess it would be a shock to the plant even though it’s genetics are meant for it. Good question though
