Saludos

Thank you so much for showing these amazing cacti in their native habitat. Not only do poachers affect the endangeted cacti species, they adversely affect the native people. I enjoyed the interaction with the native woman, she obviously loves her amazing area. Her donkeys were beautiful. Thank you for your well filmed mini documentary. Look forward to watching all your videos as i just discovered your channel.

Easily one of the best cactus videos on YT. Your camerawork is spot on! The only thing I would tweak a little is the transition from talking volume to music volume, imo the music volume is a little too loud. Other than that, keep doing what you do, I really enjoy your work. Greetings from Thailand.

Even that _Selaginella_ is awesome to see. As others have said, I hope it remains safe. I’m from San Diego, California, and here we have a little "problem"-and also in Baja California+BC Sur-of Korean & Chinese visitors stealing millions if _Dudleya_ plants from the ocean cliffs. Some get caught. But others make thousands of $$ online. And _Dudleya_ don’t often transplant well, let alone ship well across the ocean. Apparently, the ones that survive shipping are being bred in Asia, so it’s not all bad. They’re just…not in California. Lol. I wish they’d just take seed pods.

One of my heart's desires hav been fulfilled!! ❤I used to fret wen my older cacti tend to hav discolouration on their stems, some bruising, unsightly scars etc. Now, after watching your video, I realise dat's how they wld look like in their true environment!! And they still look good!
It's fascinating these cacti r growing on these almost vertical gypsum cliffs. Wonder 🤔whether I could simulate such condition(seeing dat I've only a pocket garden space and big ambitions to grow all kinds of plants in it!). 😊

I hope the place remains inaccessible to the general population away from unscrupulous individuals. There are many examples to mention, but one in particular such as the case of the phragmipedium covachii (a terrestrial orchid) in Peru and what people did is horrendous. We want to see the plants in their natural habitat, not in private collections or exhibitions.

@RareCactus A group of some individuals found the place where a small colony of phragmipedium covachii were discovered. They took all the plants they could carry and destroyed the rest. The whole area burned to the ground. For the purpose of becoming the only source of the plant and enriching from it.

Another banger of a video. Yeah I’m absolutely ok with you taking some seeds to grow. One day you’ll have plants producing your own seeds to grow and sell so that poaching isn’t necessary. People do not care if they destroy a habitat, just as long as they make money. It makes me sick. Who would threaten a nice old lady like that? 😢
