- I set off on a search for clues that Copiapoa cacti are definitely regenerating in the wild, after reading and hearing reports that their seed is no longer germinating. Join us as we visit the home of Copiapoa cinerea albispina, copiapoa krainziana and a couple of other majestic species from the Atacama desert region.

Production value is top notch 🤌🏻 Most beautiful and cinematic shots of cacti anyone could ever hope to see 🎉👏🏻 This is more than just documentation of species, this is art.
Thank you so much 😀 I really appreciate it and welcome to the channel 🌵💚
фантастическая красота кактусов в природе. Спасибо за видео. Привет из России?! ❤❤
I've been watching your videos for a while now and I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you and the people around you are doing. I randomly stumbled upon your channel due to my obsession with Lophophora, which has been ongoing for most of my life. Thanks to your videos, my obsession is now spreading to other species, like Copiapoa, Aztekium and Astrophytum and I recently got my hands on my first Astrophytum myriostigma, which will surely not be my last.
As someone from Europe, I hope to be able to see some of those cacti in habitat at some point, but, for now, I'm grateful that you are allowing me and many others to see these magnificent plants in their natural state.
Please stay as excited about and committed to cacti conservation as you are and please keep producing these videos.
Thanks a lot for watching and of course, will do! 🌵🤓 We have some more good lophophora content coming up!
@@RareCactus That's exciting to hear!
Manuel😊🤲🌟This episode was amazing, everything about it was perfection💯🙌💥The commentary, the Copiapoa, the camera work, music, and history, And most of all your explanation on the regeneration of Copiapoa
Thanks a lot Newman I’m glad you liked it!
That makes lots of sense of the colors of the last specimen considering the spines absorb the harsh effects vs if it had a coating that’d cool the whole microclimate of its mass
Such thick spine formation! 🤯 And beautiful color
It's wonderful to see all the different species of cacti growing in the wild.
It’s mind blowing to see how they can survive and I barely make it haha
Thank you so very much for sharing your enthusiasm about cacti. I too buy my cactus without knowing the name but instead the love of their form. Glad to know that I am not the only who does this.😊. Keep it up with the videos!
You are so welcome! I’m glad I’m not alone haha 💚🌵
beautiful, I love the music and the plants! thank you
Many thanks! And thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing your passion.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching 😊
You make the absolute best videos! Thank you, because I would never see the beauty that is out there otherwise. I love to learn. If I was a teacher i would show children all your videos. To inspire a younger generation to care. ❤ ✌️ 😊
Thanks so much my friend please help us spread the message by sharing our videos 🌵💚
I am so glad I found your channel. Your videos are fantastic and really informative. I have been a collector for years but have learnt so much more from your Copiapoa series. Thanks for producing such high quality content for us all!
Thanks for your kind words and for watching! Welcome to the channel 🙂

Wonderful to see so many rare cacti in habitat.
Fantastic to see the Copiapoa Rupestris. Wow! Gorgeous plant.

Glad you liked it! thanks for watching
Brilliant as always Manuel 👏👏. I'm wondering if you've seen hypogaea in habitat. I've got a few of them and I'm curious to see how they compare to the habitat plants 🤔. I'm hoping that's what you were hinting at at the end of the video 😁
Thanks so much! We definitely went looking for that one too 🤓 coming soon 🌵
an amazing video - thank you
Thanks so much for watching, welcome to the channel 🌵💚
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🌵💚
Such unworldly looking plants thriving in a barren landscape . It really helps to see what their native growing conditions are.
I wonder though, if I give them better growing conditions such as slow release fertilizer , will they grow larger or should I not pamper them at all ?
You might be able to speed up their growth a tiny bit, but they will look very green in comparison to plants that are grown in nutrient poor conditions. They will grow slightly weaker as well.
hello Manuel, My favourite ones are Aztekium, Astrophytum not Astrocactus and Copiapoas, keep it up Manuel! hope you can rescue Mammillaria Annianna and Acharagma Aguirreanum🌵
Thanks, will do! Astrophytum is one of my favorites as well! I haven’t seen Acharagma, but I see it lives close to many places I’ve been so maybe I’ll see it soon!
@@RareCactus Okay, maybe you'll find Astrophytum and Acharagma in Northern Mexico or in Texas
❤❤❤
❤🌵
Would it help if nurseries and local entusiasts grow cactus from seed bring back young plants in to habit?
That would be amazing. Some collectors in very remote areas that I’ve met do this on a regular basis. It definitely helps as long as the ecosystem itself is allowed to survive.
Thanks for the video dude!! ( algo de música chilena ?)
You’re welcome! Me encantaría usar música chilena, si conoces alguna banda que quiera exponer su música con crédito al músico por favor déjame saber. No es fácil encontrar música si licencia 😢
Hey unrelated, but i just got some seed grown dealbatas from a eu seller, was wondering if they have taproots? Ive never seen cinereas with taproots so i was wondering.
Also would the soil mix be similar to ariocarpus mix? Thanks in advance.
Not that I know of, soil mix should be adjusted with a bit of organic content and maybe granite. I use my mix: www.eastcoastcamanchaca.com/shop/p/southamericancactussoil
Seeds sit dormant for the 100-year event.
Puedes hacer una narración en español por favor, te agradecería!
Hola amigo aquí te dejo mi canal en español 🌵💚 www.youtube.com/@cactuseando1
Do you worry about people finding the cactus from your videos to poach them?
Not at all, since the few times I do show roads, they’re not from the same day or unrelated to the ecosystem.
A Poll 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just a quick poll 😂
