    Most difficult aspect of starting a new dealer for me was moving vehicles fast enough to get ready to sell. Few things I highly recommend new people do is get a monthly subscription to a nearby drive through car wash, mine is 18/month unlimited washes and free vacuum makes a world of difference to not have to manually clean the outside of vehicles yourself and have vacuums at the ready. Another tip is definately to stick to a certain group of vehicles like Honda, Toyota, hynduia etc.... NO European vehicles! I'm a very skilled mechanic and even I avoid European headaches. One last thing (which is a problem I still work with) is don't shoot yourself in the foot trying to help people. They mainly just take advantage, now I just give them a good value and leave it at that. No more lowering down payments, extending payment dates etc.....

    Here in LA, car business open next to each other because of grandfathered zoning, not because they want to steal from each other. In many cities if landlord changes land use to something else, they can never get dealership use again. In many other cities, especially newly developed ones, you have to plant a tree and a customer parking space for like every 3 lot spaces. Local government makes it rediculusly hard to get approved for dealer use.

    • @LuckyLopez777
      @LuckyLopez777  2 года назад +2

      Same in vegas. As soon as the dealer moves out the city changes the rules and no dealerships can go there after one license expires

A small pen in the back that's decent size. The garages have very little room for a lift so that s out, unless you rebuild that part of the "House.". I think they guy is nuts. I see he's not running the ad any longer and yet the building is still semi-occupied. He has like 2-3 cars out front. I just laugh I see a 10,000 sq old dealership building in Houston, a HUGE Toyota Dealership place for sale as well as a 8,000 old hot rod customizer shop. All of them down in the high humidity of the Houston area. Meh Not a fan. What says you o#Lucky ?

      @@Ricocase I don't ever go by the price by scanning, I choose which vehicles I want beforehand and search online to see what they sell for in my area on Facebook. And what I mean by "difficult" is that I don't have any floor plans or any loans I use my own cash, so I don't have a ton of money right now to buy up multiple vehicles but I will get there with time. If you just go by the price by scanning and shooting for around that number I personally don't think it is a good idea since your not really taking into account repairs at that point or if that particular vehicle sells in your general area. That's just my 2 cents, hell if it works for you then by all means keep at it lol

    Are you still doing personal consolations? I just had someone steal a Turo car, just want to make sure I do all the paperwork correctly so I get compensated if the car never returns. Lady rented a car in her name, then gave it to some guy without a license. I have the police report in, got the lady to confess her stupidity to the police, and I've got a long report from Turo's investigator I was assigned. I believe the officer reported it as actually stolen in his report, which should help the recovery process. I normally have trackers with shut offs installed, but this one was supposed to be installed today. This car and 2 other cars I just bought from a friend on a 3 month payment plan, so the car title isn't in my name yet. Registered and insured under my friend's name, so I just want to make sure I write a proper purchase agreement for whatever Turo requires. Also if I need to send a certified letter or anything else? This is my 1st time submitting a theft since I normally just repo using my trackers. Headache to deal with now, but good learning experience. It's a $15k car, so I definitely want to do it correctly.
