I remember listening to your dad singing this on my mom's records growing up 😄😄😄😄😄. I have lots of good memories of listening to The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem thanks to my mom's record collection of theirs. She even has some records that are from Ireland and most of hers are 1st Pressing. So obviously I have old taste in music and I'm proud of it. While I'm a fan of The High Kings which has Bobby Clancy's Son Finbarr Clancy I'm mainly only interested in singers from the 50s and 60s even though I'm in my Mid 30s because the songs were "clean" back then compared to nowadays.
That song is SO lovely! I can't help but feel I've just been taken back in time to 1990. Thank you, Rory...for a few moments of memories as my younger self. BTW, I was getting a bit worried, when all of Friday passed with no song for this week.
