Had my own fail of the month last week, I ended up breaking my 5th & 7th rib on a jump line. I over sent a step down and ended up friends with an oak tree. On the bright side it's winter now so hopefully I'll be healed up and ready to go this spring for some redemption.
I would be interested in seeing a video about what to do after a crash.do you carry some basic medical equipment? And maybe some tips on how to bail for certain situations or some drills you can practise. (Eg jumping of your bike.over steering wheel)
The rider is actually Braden. Chris is his father and my bro. Way to go B!!!! Your world famous!!!! He is also looking for a sponsor so he can get a new bike.
A friend of mine lost a few teeth, part of his tongue and tore open both his upper and lower lips in a mtb accident last year. Hes still recovering from it today.
2:20 I have messed up like that a bunch of times. The worst times snapped or bent the forks not the bike. The bike frame should not snap under any circumstance. This is why you dont buy carbon.
bro that's bullshit ;) pro's or people who have the money all ride carbon. Formula 1 has carbon. If the factory does it right it will even be stronger or at least as strong as alluminium
@@lowi2568 Carbon is overpriced plastic. At first it may be stronger than alloy, but as shown here they break instantly in certain circumstances. Unless its a Norco most alloy bikes would not have snapped in half in the crash as shown. Pros use Carbon because it is lighter which allows them to go faster. I was an idiot and bought the hype only to regret it a year later. From here on if I got carbon money, I am going titanium.
@@mattgies Maybe if that metal bike was made for Walmart or a Norco. What part of I been in that scenario a bunch of times did you not understand? Looks like I am making fanboys happy.
I love these videos please keep them coming and yes it is ok to have a bit of a giggle to them, if people thought they weren’t entertaining then they would not send them in. Anyway guys keep up the great work 👍🏻
Hi! How are you? South Korea/Seoul started the cold spell this week. The average temperature is -12'C. It snowed. I hope you have a healthy day this week. ^O^
11:03 when I watch at .25 it was just user error (turning the bars from bad positioning or something when hitting the bottom). There is a clear view of the front wheel after the bottom and he starts to turn the bars - the wheel is still perfectly round and the tire is still on at this point - it didn't get smashed from the impact. Only after he turns the bars far enough, that you see a big puff of smoke from the pressure releasing as the tire gets ripped off - then the rim smashes into the ground sideways at speed and breaks.
I'm guessing that as his weight came down on that front wheel at that angle, it started to push his wheel to the side. Once that happens, there's no fighting to get it straight again. I had a similar but kind of opposite incident at the top of a small (30" tall) rock I was rolling over where my wheel wasn't perfectly perpendicular to the rock and started to turn so I countered that force only to find out my stem wasn't as tight as it should've been. The wheel kept turning to the right but I was able to hold the bar where it was supposed to be. It was the slowest OTB of my life. I just wish there was someone there to witness it because I was laughing before I even hit the ground. I'm sure it would've been hilarious to see.
if i ever over rotate on a jump i try and kick my feet down and pull the bars (like a tuck) up so land back wheel first then push the bike down with my arms so my chest isn't on the handlebars when i land
7:29 If he's like me the boy's know better than to hang out on the vine while riding. No they burrow as deep as possible if ya know what I mean. And then it's buns of steal time LoL!
I took a friend's on an urban ride. He crashed not being able to bunny hop from street up to the sidewalk. It never occurred to me that wasn't a skill everyone has. And I'm certainly no pro.
@10:13 size XL guy on a size small frame AND ass-riding the drop. This should work well good. Obviously Blake is the one that crushed a nut. Ol' 2PAC over here.
The painting in the background is great, I'd like to see a clearer shot of it.
If I'm not mistaken it's been in other vids. Where you can see it a lot better
I kept looking over at and finally decided its amazing hahaha
Actually if you look to the lower left. His right hand side is the helmet in the painting
@@OldFatSlow72 oh yea cool
I’m gonna guess Blake was the one who got his willie stuck in the wheel, just because I think he’s the shortest one of the bunch

Gotta be Neil
We need “fail redemption” so the failers can send it in again and SEND! So show the next month show there fail there send! Love the channel, Nat x.

Yo
@12:50. Guy smashes his berries on the top tube so hard his kids won't be able to have kids. Martyn: That is....unfortunate...
i've never seen sand run like water down a hill like that.
super cool.
“Manufactures of our bikes try to make them as strong as possible”
Mongoose: No
maybe they can only produce the level of STONGEST bike =.=
Louis: dead
martin: serious that is serious... well lets move on
“Shralp”
Great name for a trail dog!!
Thanks for featuring my clip GMBN! 1:07
Yo are you good after that one?
I love to see berm-destroyers destroying their own bikes 🤣

Thank you for featuring my son breaking his bike in half. He is thankfully ok and bounced back.
Someone needs to sponsor that kid
don't buy that BAND of bicycle again .............
Another cool video, cheers Martyn! Some horrible looking crashes there show the importance of helmets!💯
The rider is actually Braden. Chris is his father and my bro. Way to go B!!!! Your world famous!!!! He is also looking for a sponsor so he can get a new bike.
Should have included a go fund me with the video or your comment .If every person who watched it donated 5 cents he would have a nice new bike.
Sitting down while dropping off a 6ft skinny is probably where Nicolas went wrong. Who let him do that feature seriously.
🎵Neil - he's only got one ball,
🎵The other - is on the the down hill course

If that crash had happened on a metal bike, it would have folded in half instead of snapping in half. Either way, you're shopping for a new frame.

I had a trek feul ex 6 just like the one in this vid 😬😬😬
Wow - that’s amazing.
For GPDR reasons we shall not be told who lost a testicle unless the presenter comes forward himself. 😂
I think we don't care how bad the crash is as long as our bike is ok.
Gmbn really only gets better and martyn ashton is awesome
Is the sack stop the reason behind the nickname one wheel Niel ?
Man, that kid at about 3 1/2 minutes almost had a good scandi flick around the rock.

Body bin. Rules!
Some day I will get my crashes on video. Had 3 really good ones over the past 2 years....brakes and sprains enough to pass around!
and 7:42...did that. Was truly black and blue down there for a couple weeks.
Can you get protective wear to guard against broken collar bones?
Collarbone is almost designed to break to protect other parts of the upperbody. Protecting the collarbone might have unintended consequences
I love to hate watching these videos! It makes me rethink my choice in outdoor activities!
5:15 Oh he definitely blew up AND lost a shoe in that big smash. You know it's serious when shoes go awry.
About the first one right what if one side is clipped peddle and the other side is not great idea right
This channel make my night,, Hahahaha So many fail'
can you make a video to show the orbea WILD FS M-LTD
Hello! I want to upgrade my bike's cockpit. What is better? 720 mm bars and short stem or long stem and 790 mm bars?
short stem and 790mm bars
770 and short stem 😂
Long stem, 720 👍
At 790 mm you wouldn't fit between the trees where I ride. Try 740 mm and short,
never use a long stem is you can help it, on my bike i run a 40mm stem and 760 bars, I am 175 cm tall.

I think Blake is the one ball wonder. He seems the most reckless on a bike
If you don't want your frame to snap, don't buy plastic.
@5:15 Is that guy missing a shoe after that fall?
It was Steve jones who had an unfortunate nether region accident
@10:13 size XL guy on a size small frame AND ass-riding the drop. This should work well good. Obviously Blake is the one that crushed a nut. Ol' 2PAC over here.
You guys snapping those CF bike frames must be rich. Lifetime warrantys aren't going to cover abuse like that, and those frames are expensive.
Trek replaced the whole bike.
2.29 I bet if that bike was made a proper material called metal it would not have snapped!!
One ball?!
I'm guessing Neil is sans ball.

Which one
Who lost 1 nut ???

Lesson number 1: You got brakes. Use them. There is no need to brake with any part of your body, especially not with your face or balls.
