Sounds good. I'd suggest covering some other song to better capture the notion of it, though. Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" might be appropriate. Or Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" maybe.
Why? This video came out when Lucas was rampantly changing the original trilogy with "improvements." Want to what the Star Wars you grew up with? Nope, Lucas won't let you. Even if you don't like the Disney movies, Disney is not changing the old movies. They even have a project to restore the original releases. The Star Wars you used to know is probably safer now that it ever was under Lucas. You may not like the new movies and that's fine, but at least the old movies are now safe.
Rhewin they are changing it, they just can’t change anything in the film releases since it was negotiated in the deal Lucas made for the purchase of Star Wars. However in the rise of sky walker they revived emperor palpatine and that essentially ruins the entire OG trilogy.
@@javanmills6152 But that also happened in the EU/Legends. It still doesn't change anything, and if you want to cut the saga off at 6 in your own head canon, you can.
Rhewin to be fair legends was inconsistent and contradictory at times which I didn’t mention, which was most likely why they decided to start fresh with their own cannon. I’m more disappointed in how Disney picked horrible directors and Kathleen Kennedy to run Lucas film. Since they had 40yrs+ worth of source material to draw from the EU, but created 3 films that won’t even sync together very well let alone the rest of the saga.

will wyse, A Long Time Ago too I am surprise that no one has done a science fiction film where a traveling crew finds the remains of Star Wars Ships or some element of the their past already. That is the major flaw with Star Wars, the convenient Long Time Ago makes their story ancient history like the Trojan War. That is why I prefer series like Star Trek, Babylon 5, Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, etc. that describe the future instead.
+Starhunter Terra That's because star wars is how we used to be, and then the apocalypse happened and we lost everything, and nothing remained to give us clues how to get back to that time, didn't you know that? Sheesh and I thought I was stupid. (Sarcasm intended in this entire comment) BUT imagine if it was true, if star wars WAS the past and the apocalypse that religious people rant about, happened already, and that we lost all that advanced technology?
+Starhunter Terra The "past" is subjective. I allways assumed that the "long time ago phrase" was just a storytelling way. Just like the old "hero"-stories of ancient Greece. Someone, somwhere is telling the story of Star Wars to someone.
Tyler Richardson ah yes, by making his redemption utter pointless, he didn’t even kill Palpatine according to them, some princess that stole the skywalker name and learned the ability to heal in a week did that... I give the prequels a pass because you can tell George really cared about the product and story. His dialogue was abysmal, but at least the story is linear and ties up neatly at the end with few plot holes. A lot of stuff in the timeskips between 1-2 and 2-3 were covered well in the EU with George's input or approval. The sequels are terrible and they have spent years trying to retcon damn near everything to make them make sense in comics, novels, TV series, and video games.

Then he also had an amazing wife (Marcia Griffin) who contributed a lot in the editing and compositing (especially changing the original sequence of the early parts). Then The Empire Strikes Back, George was involved the least in that movie, but the third one, the one that sucked the most out of the original trilogy, was the one where George was getting more involved again.

Cute.
We need a part 2 for the disney star wars
"they'll never get a Blu-Ray of the Star Wars that you used to know" - hurts even more now
Yeah. I'm pretty young, but I was lucky enough to own the non-special editions on VHS when I was little, and it's a shame that that's the best way to legally watch the original trilogy.
You can buy the despecialized trilogy on blu ray on etsy and other places

Now the sequels, they are DEFINETELY, hated by everyone, just some paid critics like it. And some dumb "fans" that don't understand anything about Star Wars.
This video is so stupid. The 3 Prequels were fucking great.
Everybody: George Lucas has ruined Star Wars!!!
Disney: Hold my beer.
:
Disney is better....wtf!!!??
@@xBrabus76 it's funny because you are joking.
@@ethanwalters4420 after Glucas divorce everything went sour the true Cannon fans are the makers of that xbox 360 game with starkiller + Family guys joke was in the movie mocking Hux on a call which auralnauts did better!
Alright that's really odd. Well good job pally
Best song parody in a long time. Very clever.
In a long time ago...
+Shirts Hub in a galaxy far far away
There was no blu-ray
The irony is that compared to what we have now... This was absolutely nothing.
Five years and 5 months later this is still one of the best star wars parodies. 10/10
Have you even heard i'm han solo?
Is nobody gonna acknowledge the fact that that's fucking Tyson from survivor
I lost my shit when I initially noticed that, came out of absolutely and truly out of nowhere.
Yes!! I was searching for this comment! I wasn't sure first.
SAME. I freaked out when I saw him and had to check the description/comments to make sure I was right.
So glad I'm not the only one that recognised him.
2012: The prequels were the worst idea ever
Today: I stand corrected
True👍
Except Revenge of the Sith. The only movie from the Prequels that actually compares to the original trilogy.
It gives the first 3 ( phantom menace, attack of clones and revenge of the Sith) are vital to the story and actually quite needed
But episodes 4, 5, and 6 were made first, The prequels only told Anakin's story but it isn't really needed
@@Dalandan no it makes Vader's character look like a bitch lol the prequels are fucking ass
I'm here after the acolyte.
Not that mando season 3, Asohka, Book of Boba didn't deserve me coming here... But acolyte reached a new low.
TYSON ?! Why is nobody talking about the freakin’ Survivor legend being in this cover! 🤯
I watched this years ago before I had seen him on Survivor. I watched it tonight out of the blue and was like, "Is that Tyson?"
@@Shadowcards I was looking closely as well earlier and then the reveal lol
Was searching through the comments for someone else to think this was Tyson lol
Yeah I’m a survivor fan and I thought he looked like him but it actually was wow
Yeah lol. He makes every season he was in better. HvV, BvW, WaW...
I don't know how I'm only seeing this for the first time in 2016.
I was asking myself the same question...
Me too lol
Food Review UK same situation here bro
