Hi, I did upgrade from the Ultra1 to the Ultra 2 mostly for battery degradation of the first one (AWU2 is lasting more than a half day vs the AWU1); also other features to consider is the Sleep apnea tracking, upgraded Ultrawide band for locating the iPhone (shows User interface instead for playing sounds) and playing music from the speaker.

@@djramosf Thanks for sharing your experience! You’re absolutely right about the improved Ultra Wideband feature in the Ultra 2; it does make locating the iPhone more precise with the enhanced user interface. While the battery life of the Ultra 2 is more efficient thanks to the S9 chip, the difference isn’t drastically more than half a day in most cases, but it does offer slight improvements. As for sleep apnea tracking, it’s exciting to hear that it will be part of watchOS 11 and will be available for the Ultra 2, as well as Watch Series 9 and 10. Given that the Ultra 1 shares similar hardware, there’s a good chance it might support this feature too. The music playback through the speaker is still more limited to notifications and alarms, but I appreciate your detailed comparison!

Hi there, I could use some quick advice. My wrist size is 15cm, and I’m torn between choosing the Ultra 2 in black or the natural titanium 42mm with the mil loop. Currently, I have the Hermes Series 7 (41mm) and I’m considering upgrading all my gear. What are your thoughts on the Ultra 2 for smaller wrists? Do you ever feel like it’s too big or uncomfortable? I tried it on at the Apple Store, and while it felt fine, it did look a bit large on me. I love the Ultra’s design but I’m unsure how it will actually suit my wrist long-term. Since you have thin wrists as well and have used both watches for a few years, which one would you recommend? Also, could you let me know your wrist size?

@@viralchopra917 Thanks for your detailed question! I can understand your concerns about the size, especially since you have a smaller wrist. The Ultra 2 does have a more prominent presence compared to the Hermes Series 7 (41mm) you’re used to. I have a similar wrist size (15cm), and while the Ultra 2 Black is slightly larger, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable after getting used to it. If you’re looking for something a bit more versatile and comfortable, the natural titanium 42mm with the mil loop might be a better fit for everyday wear. The Ultra 2 is great for its advanced features and rugged design, but it’s definitely something you’ll feel more on your wrist initially. Ultimately, it comes down to whether you want the extra functionality and can adjust to the size over time. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the question! I haven’t noticed any issues with the black paint peeling on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. If you’re concerned, it might be worth checking with Apple for any warranty or quality assurances they provide.
