Don was posited as the "bad guy" in S1 until Sloan told him she saw him as a good guy - I am so glad that this kiss came, absolutely love them together!
Don was set up as an antagonist(vs Will and Jim) in the first few episodes but he was flipped into a good guy in episode 4 when he sides with Will against Reese when he wants Will to pronounce Gabby Giffords dead as the other networks have.
Love the look on Don's face when he realizes that Sloan has figured out who bought the book. He's expecting to be hit. and then.... "what I have can't be taught!" PRICELESS!!!!
"What if it never is? What if I go on and on like this? What if I keep talking in rhetorical questions until you just can't take it anymore?" I love Sloan.
@@homeat103 she saw the Tony Curtis poster in his office and gathered it was actually Don doing the fake bidding (using the character name from that movie to bid) in order to get her book, cause he liked/was in love with her. Great first kiss, great reaction line and love the little smirky smile she has as she's leaving the control room and the look (and smile) he gives her at the end. He's so totally smitten. Please let there be a season three.
In a weird way, this scene is incredibly romantic. The only other scene I thought was close was when Don was in his office with Sloan, after her nude photos were released.
I'm on a mental break for some unknowingly stupid reason so I can't understand that line and I can't stare at this video for much longer cuz I got some work to do so please leave me a reply of what he meant by that...

@@michaelcoulter1114 No, I mean it is worth MORE if SHE kisses HIM. ESPECIALLY if it is their first. If he kisses her, and she allows it, it does not reveal HER feelings as much. She just said "thank you for your support, I really appreciated it... and we WILL speak of this later. "
Ted Wres Yeah, that is fucking embarrassing. Two minutes of googling should have it made it very clear that "Ich tun." isn't a correct response to _anything_. Writers are so fucking lazy these days.

For all the german speakers who wonder how this ridiculous mistranslation came to be. The literal translation of the former is "Ich hoffe Sie zerreisen durch dieses Buch." Now just clean up the german grammar and voila. +Gadsya Angela It's by Pete Townshend (guitarist for The Who) called Let My Love Open The Door. He did the original song in 1980, but the song in this episode is a cover and I don't know who the artist/group is doing the cover. It's probably on the end credits for this episode.
