Here's a video of me recreating Super Mario Bros. 3's Final Castle in the Super Mario Bros. 3 Style. This level was created in Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch & all footage was recorded at 1080p & 60fps.

Cool Idea! I actually recreated this level almost identically myself back in Mario Maker 1. I'm probably gonna be lifting a lot of my old levels to 2.
I believe the AI of Bowser must be improved with urgency
True. I played SMB3 on the NES (from the Nintendo Switch Online), and Bowser's AI was more hasty in literally following where you go to ground pound you.
This makes me wish you could choose how the ground looks, between the gray blocks and the bricks from the original final castle. Why only lock them to the night castle theme, Nintendo? Great re-creation nonetheless!

I made this a week or two after Mario Maker 2 first came out. If anyone wants to see it: X94-SJ6-CDG. Let's compare notes.
EDIT: I removed the previous version I made to make one particular part with a Thwomp and Donut Block easier to get past without taking a hit. The Thwomp moves faster and Donut Block drops slower than it does in the original. I made slight enhancements to hide negative space in the some parts of the castle. The level code is updated

I tried using cannons as replacements for the lasers.
When I'm creating a level I always make a short simple part like some Goombas walking toward you and a power up block then test it out like yesterday I put a Goomba on a pipe, one you could go in or out of
But anyways, do you look at something to remember this or do just know it by memory?
I doubt anyone could remember all the blocks of a level by memory, he can't be that smart.

Looks like there's an unintentional softlock possibility right at the axe. It looks like you could get trapped on the semisolid platform.
3 things I would like to know are: 1. Why did you add those power ups at the beginning 2. Why not use the Lazer Mecca koopas and 3. Why are there more bricks in the other bowser fight?
powerups from other levels that were brought, they are fricking horizontal, idk
why you don't put meckakopas in bowser statues or something like that? or larris or canons

Man I wish you can make something else in the castle levels in Mario maker but no lava to add in it.
4:30 - in the original SMB3, there were no powerup items on tracks like that :(
yeah but powerups that were brought from other levels wich is a nice touch
If you want no clear condition and do not have lava in the level use pow blocks

I am making nsmb2 1-2 in Mario maker 2 and I don’t know what to use for the POW blocks that destroy bricks. Do you have any suggestions
Do it in 3d world sins nsmb2 is an embarrassment to the nsmbw series and there are red POWs and other nsmb2 stuff there
