      @@baynguyenngoc3357 I am not sure all of the colors used are included in the materials list. For example, can see her use PC937 (Tuscan Red) but it's not listed. As a beginner learning color, it would be super-helpful to have the color of each pencil displayed on the screen as it's being used. Otherwise this is one of the best videos I have seen. This addition would make it perfect!

    Weee! Hello, sorry if I'm late, but she's using Prismacolour premier pencils and the reason why she uses tan paper is because you have to blend out the highlights. I think also since it's tan, it's thicker than the normal paper, therefore no warping from the layering.

    surprised by the use of white after researching for a while on how to draw an apple. This is the best!!!

    • @thegoroakechi
      @thegoroakechi 5 лет назад

      White always creates highlights, so whatever you draw, adding white and black gives your drawing a dimension. It's not only what makes art pop, but also what creates the 3d effect

I have no where near as much experience as you, but I want to give it a go :' ). Wish me the best of luck, I'm gonna try and I'll tell u guys how it goes. It's part of my art homework.

    This might be a little help for the color use but at certain parts, the code of the pencil (found at the ends) can be seen clearly. (At 5:59 the color used is Tuscan Red) And the codes look like this: PC ###

    With prima color I go through white like crazy for some reason they break easily. I’m always having to go back to the art store to get more white colored pencil but prisma color is well worth the price even if they do break easily they are so good. But the white pencil breaks easier than the other colors for some reason

    how do people know what colour they are gonna get for realism

    • @thegoroakechi
      @thegoroakechi 5 лет назад

      Well, there's the obvious colors that everyone spots. Like the red and yellow as well as the little bit of brown. Those are like the flat colors, the ones you even know to use as a child when drawing an apple. The rest is really about sort of spotting which color aspects are also included. Is the red pinkish or yellowish for example. Depending on which, you pick those colors out and start shading and adding them. It takes a lot of time, practice and definitely study (looking at real life things and observing how the light reflects and what color shades you can identify)
