    Hi Philips, is there a pressure level setting in this model? The Instant Pot brand has it. Some brands have up to 6 level settings.

    I have this product from last 2 years and using it every single day. Mainly for cooking rice and Chicken curries. It cooks the food to perfection ! I have used the pressure cookers (normal that you put on the cooktop) for Chicken many times but the way chicken gets cooked in this one is miraculously delicious ( retains meat tender & juicy ). However, there is a BIGGEST LIE in this video about saying it cooks 8X faster - No it doesn't !! For example - in this video, when chef selects the Meat/Poultry, it shows 15 min to cook. Its LIE !! It doesn't take 15 minutes to cook - it actually take 15 minutes to pressure cook from the time the light on it goes to "Maintain Pressure" !
    It takes almost 15 to 25 minute for it to take its light to "Maintain Pressure" phase. Thus, in morale, you can cook NOTHING in 15 minute in this pot. Avg time from turning it On to taking the food out - is 40 to 45 minute ( even for 2 cup rice on Rice mode that shows 15 min - actually take 40 min). In conventional pressure cook - it takes less than 10 minutes to cook 2 cup rice.
    Its a great product and cooks the food perfect, amazing flavours when you cook in this pot - but its very very SLOW !!!!

    Hello Philips I own a HD 2137 and would like to know what function I have to use to cook Dhal. I thought 10mins was enough and put it on Steam and it was not cooked at all and had to do it again on Rice. Please advise

    • @Philips
      @Philips  3 года назад

      Hi there Jaya, we're sorry to hear your Dhal did not turn out right. Here are some tips if your food is not cooked properly:
      • Make sure that there is no foreign residue on the
      heating element and the outside of the inner pot
      before switching the All-in-One cooker on.
      • The heating element is damaged, or the inner pot is
      deformed. Take the cooker to your Philips dealer or a
      service center authorized by Philips.
      • Incorrect function or time was selected, increase
      cooking time or change cooking method.
      We hope this might help make that delicious Dhal!

      Meat has natural water inside of it. Obviously it would burn without water, so there must be enough humidity, it depends on product you use, so always follow recipe, you have to know recipe. If you are not sure, yes you will have to stop cooker, despressurize, lift the lid, check, than continue. So it’s more important to follow recipe when using pressure cooker, than when using normal cooking method, as you can’t lift the lid evey 5 min to check what happens inside.

    • @Philips
      @Philips  3 года назад

      Hi Cheng, thank you for clarifying which model you have. Good question! The pressure function may be used to cook soup, risotto, rice, meat/poultry and to steam. Regarding your question on the slow cooking high temperature vs slow cooking low temperature, the only difference between the two is the amount of time that it takes to reach the simmer point, or temperature at which the contents of the appliance are being cooked at. Most dishes can be prepared on either high or low temperature. We hope this helps! For further information on how to use these functions, we recommend taking a look at the user manual which came with the device. Happy cooking! 🍛

    This product has imo a design issue, if you watch the video you will see that the settings in the display, for instance poultry, are so dim as to be almost unreadable . I have one and yes it but this is seriously annoying

    • @Philips
      @Philips  2 года назад

      Hello, thanks for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your cooker display is not clear to read. We'd love to have a closer look into the matter, so can you please contact us on social media (Facebook - to.philips/6055zrm19 or Twitter - to.philips/6056zrm1i), sharing your model number and a video of the issue? We'll be happy to help. Thank you.

      Hi, thanks for the prompt,response. The issue is a design issue, I can see in this video and others on RUclips, and at home, how dim and blurry the characters are. I’ve had. my display changed once and it made no difference. So there’s nothing you can do aside from improve the display design to use better or larger or brighter characters. At least new buyers will benefit. For thos of us who have these we have to live with it

    Why all the videos never show us how to release the pressure right after the food is cooked? Is there any 'special' way to release?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for your question here. For this specific model, there is no special way to release the pressure. You'll only need to rotate the valve for specific meals you are cooking. For more information, please check our user manual: to.philips/6053GXtH7. Hope this helps!

    • @cbeeyong155
      @cbeeyong155 4 года назад

      Let's say I do not want to release the pressure immediately when time's up, how long it will take for the pressure to be released by its own?

    • @Philips
      @Philips  4 года назад

      Thanks for getting back to us, C. There is not a specific time set when it comes to releasing pressure. Again, this varies depending on the meal you are cooking and the amount you placed inside the pot. However, we do recommend opening the valve throughout the session when it's required. Hope this helps.

    One of the biggest failure of this product, not enough information about how to cook. Most of the products comes out without recipes book. But in little information sheet, says comes with recipes book. Unfortunately not many videos available either. Such a shame big company like this, leaves consumer to figure out the puzzle.

At the end of the day, like everybody else at Philips Customer Care in the Singapore Office, you will just sit and do nothing, instead of listening to my problem and solve the issue I have. Philips should just shut down the household appliances division, you have no desire to make quality products or provide meaningful service that makes life better.
