      @@olagerta8199 i do not know about that ASDA presure cooker, I have a German MWF one, which does not recommend to cook rice due to the foam raising up potentially with grain of rice and could block the cooker vents. It;s dangerous as steam would not be able to escape.

    Practical tip: add two centimeters of water before you heat the pot, and add boiling water from the kettle. You can also lower the heat /turn it down by a quarter once steam starts escaping from the valve /and the pressure indicator has popped up. Then start your timing for the cooking process

    I have been using a pressure cooker for years. My mother had one too. I wouldn't cook potatoes like that because a lot of the nutrients go into the water. I always steam vegetables in a basket inside the pressure cooker, using very little water at the bottom of the pan. The water does not touch the vegetables.

My question is whether you maintained the temperature setting of the hob at 9 for the entire 7 minutes or did you reduce the temperature at some point after the steam pressure was established? I use my stove top for vegetables but I don NOT cook them in water, as shown in this video. I put them in a basket on a slightly elevated trivet so that only steam is forced through the vegetables and they are not touching the water.

All the pressure cookers are slightly different, but most do come with manuals (I have two and one is from eBay, so I don't have a manual for it). But they're all basically the same general techniques.

      Any thing that increase with scum must be controlled drastically as the volume might make the valve on the lid blocked up. Reduce the fire/flame when pressure becomes evident.. It will surely cook on low flame in safety!

    @MyLittleKitchenRecipes How important is it to replace the rubber gasket on the lid on a regular basis? Thank you in advance.

    I want to ask something ….when the button ok cooker popped up and it’s time for timer what we need to do ….means we should reduce the heat to minimum or what

    Thanks for this! Would you be able to give the timers for different foods? how long does it take to cook rice or veggies or dal?

    • @MyLittleKitchenRecipes
      @MyLittleKitchenRecipes  2 года назад +1

      Hi there, dal - kidney bean curry for example pre soaked takes approx 25/30 mins to cook from scratch. Moong dal approx 15mins. As far as vegetables are concerned, I've never used it for that as I don't really use it to cook vegetables but potatoes are cooked much quicker than in a normal pot.

      She stated in the beginning of the video that it is an Amazon Basics pressure cooker. Amazon Basics Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker - 4 Litre is the full product name. She has a link to it in the video description. Cheers.
