Hah, most of my pins are bent because I always forget to remove them. That said, be sure to remove your pins before sewing over them ☝😂 #DoAsISayNotAsIDo

Thank you for such an easy to follow tutorial. The difference in this bag and my first one is absolutley amazing. This bag is perfect. The top stiching and pressing the material makes all the difference. (new sewer here!) It looks like I purchased it and didn't make it. Now I am going to have to remake all my project bags, I don't think I can have one that isn't like this new one. 😊

Hah! Admittedly, this is why I don't make and sell project bags regularly - only when the mood strikes. So here's how I make them; go forth and make your own! 😆 And I love the idea of a goth sewing segment. Jenni from Missouri Star Quilts always says, "Press to the dark side" 😄

Just finished making this! Directions were easy to follow (did get stuck on the second part of the zipper). Never made a bag, boxed bottom or put in a zipper, but my bag looks great! (Not perfect, but for a first try, I’m happy!)

PERFECT. This will be an excellent reference. I have a similar pattern that I have used but when I tried to make a bag recently I did the lining backwards so I have seams inside!! Not a problem since it's for me but not what I wanted. SOOO much better to be able to follow your video instead of the written pattern. I do sew on mesh handles as I prefer "purse" style handles instead of the wrist strap type handle. I definitely make my bags all different sizes, thin and tall for socks, wide and short for medium sized projects, and wide and tall for big projects.
The face-up/face-down situation with fabric can be SO confusing! But I'm glad you found my tutorial useful 😄And yes!! Use whatever type of handle makes you happy. There are so many options out there!

Very chill tutorial 🌊 one question: I’m a little confused on seeing the corners. I don’t have a wilting ruler. Can you explain a little more about how to do it with a regular ruler or a grading ruler?
Of course! So, with a regular 12-inch ruler, mark 2" (vertically) down the center from the tip of a corner. Then draw a horizontal line where you made the mark. I hope that makes sense!
