This is fabulous. I am going to share it with my son. He is not currently taking voice lessons. He sang bass all through high school then his voice teacher was sure he was a tenor and tried to groom him in that direction. Although he has the range, the richness of the baritone is so beautiful. He also did some musical theater which aimed more at the tenor as well. He said it hurt his voice to stay up there all the time. He will like this.

Very helpful i received a lot of compliments from women saying that i got a sexy voice ever since started to do low notes/ baritone vocal exercices. Thank you for this video!
Hey Jeff! I don't know if you'll ever see this, BUT: I've been doing this warm up every day for a few weeks. At first, I could only really "do" the first half of the video, everything else was just voice cracking nonsense. I can now hang out with the scales ALL THE WAY THROUGH and I'm honestly pretty proud of myself.
That's awesome! I see just about all of the comments - so feel free to keep me updated as to your progress or if issues come up. Thank you for watching! Enjoy the channel and keep singing! Jeff
You're an amazing instructor! Wish I would have found your vids back when I was I high school. Question, is it possible for baritone to develop a tenor voice?
Thank you! That is very kind! A somewhat famous singer with whom I took lessons for awhile with used to say that as a baritone vocalist he 'masquerades' as a tenor. You cannot change the fundamental make up of your voice, but you can sing with similar resonance characteristics and volume profiles. Your secondo passaggio will be in a different location which may mean that some pieces will be more challenging as the notes may sit on your 'break.' If you're doing that all the time though, you'll probably get really good at it really quickly! The toughest thing will be going against your baritone power zone preferences. As a baritone, your range below g3 will be much warmer and fuller than most tenors. You'll want to curtail that somewhat in order to effectively 'masquerade' as a tenor! Best, Jeff
Your looking at the camera synchronizes perfectly with when my voice cracks :))) This is one special superpower you have. Nonetheless, great lesson. Saved it in my playlist, subscribed, will come back for more. Thank you.
so a few months ago instead of leaving a comment asking if this would be good for metal vocalists i decided to just take it upon myself and just try i love this and it helps me alot i do this everyday and twice on band practice days, i love the ease i could reach the higher notes after this warmup it truly covers everything a baritone needs thanks! cheers from israel
Keep up the good work man! Will most certainly show this to other singers i know since i see you have multiple range watmups and i know they could benefit from them And regarding the good luck Thank you very much I actually just performed a few days ago and did this warmup alot more than i probably needed haha I would say 4 or 5 times that day

Hey Jeff, well thank you for helping me. Sure if you google my name, as simple as that, you should be able to see my facebook, web-page and other great stuff. I work for Showbizz Danmark, they do all the management, and booking. So all I have to do, is focus on the music and singing. Im 80-90% Solo out on my jobs, 1 man, 1 guitar and just have fun. Other times with my 4 man band. Where i lead sing, and play acoustic guitar. Singing very mixed range from; Johhny Cash, Leonard Cohen, to Elvis, to Freddie Mercury. I tend to belt out too much when i hit higher register, so I am currently working on to focus more and more to use my head voice instead of doing full on "Carlos Marín(Ill Divo)" My stomach sometimes aches after 3-4 days with 2-3 gigs pr day with 3x45 minutes sessions..., But I have to maintain quality each time I am out, so I am trying to be as dynamic as possible. Mainly from Start April to End September I am doing 170-200 shows. So rest and warmups are VITAL. Thanks so much again. Have a great day. Best Regards Thomas
I use this warm-up every day. I am a college opera student and due to the virus, I haven't been able to go to school so I use this sequence every day before I work on my literature!
After doing this + more of your warmups and exercises every day I've gotten a much better voice and grown to know it alot better! Will keep this up, thanks alot Jeff!
Thanks you so much Jeff! I have just started to practice this everyday. The O.. E... part at 11:18 is too fast for me at the moment but will get there I'm sure :-) Just for some background, I have always struggled with hitting high notes and am terrible at falsetto. I would always shy from karaoke because I could not sing my favorite songs as voice would crack, I just thought I'm not a singer. I had taken up the piano a few years back but only really started to sing with determination quite recently. Once I started experimenting with changing keys to suit me, I feel I have finally found my voice :-) community.
Thank you for this. As a baritone and possibly bass I have had issues finding videos that work for me. I love pushing my upper register but its nice to have exercises in my proper range. Even my last vocal coach, wonderful lady that she was, was like 2 octaves above me and often had to compensate.
From the age of about 7 years old to about 15 I was in two school choirs. From the age of 20, until the past 2 years, I always aspired to sing higher notes but I've come to realize and embrace the fact that I'm better singing baritone songs. I can sing higher but then my throat starts to want to take over and that's not good. Singing songs by artists such as Bob Crosby, and other artists from that era, really works well with my voice.

Yah man 3 rd week doing pretty regularly and wow I'm amazed at the increasing smoothness of my tone especially in the higher range !
Nice work! Keep it up!
Jeff
when Jeff says nice and smooth but you’re on a bumpy road
Finally shared with a friend that was interested Jeff, I'm disappointed I didn't go find someone to share this with until now though lol
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate it!
Jeff
Anybody else having trouble in the U-E part? I find it hard to pronounce the right vowels and maintain the speed to keep up with the scale.
I can't give this enough thumbs up! 👍
Very helpful i received a lot of compliments from women saying that i got a sexy voice ever since started to do low notes/ baritone vocal exercices. Thank you for this video!
Thank you so much ! This is new exercise for me, and it work. My voice getting better
Been practicing 5 times a week since I've discovered you! Part of my morning routine now :) Thank you so much!
Hey Jeff! I don't know if you'll ever see this, BUT:
I've been doing this warm up every day for a few weeks.
Best,
Jeff
Jeff Rolka I was wondering this same thing! Thank you so much!
Your looking at the camera synchronizes perfectly with when my voice cracks :)))
This is one special superpower you have.
Nonetheless, great lesson. Saved it in my playlist, subscribed, will come back for more.
Thank you.
thank you so much for this exercises
Thank you for a useful warmup. We B's are the forgotten ranges. I really appreciate you addressing this range.
Thank you very very much Jeff! This is amazing!
so a few months ago instead of leaving a comment asking if this would be good for metal vocalists i decided to just take it upon myself and just try
i love this and it helps me alot
i do this everyday and twice on band practice days, i love the ease i could reach the higher notes after this warmup
it truly covers everything a baritone needs
thanks! cheers from israel
Awesome!! I'm really glad that it's helping! Keep up the great work and enjoy singing!
All the best to you and your band in Israel!
Jeff
Keep up the good work man! Will most certainly show this to other singers i know since i see you have multiple range watmups and i know they could benefit from them
And regarding the good luck
Thank you very much
I actually just performed a few days ago and did this warmup alot more than i probably needed haha
I would say 4 or 5 times that day
Right on! Will do! Thanks for sharing, it really helps! If you have questions, consider coming to the live events on Saturdays. 6pm London time.
All the best!!
Jeff
really digging this warm-up! it's great for my range and makes me feel really primed to sing. challenging and helpful. thanks for your work.
Still the best!
Its spot on everytime. Thank you sir for helping me on the road.
Doing 200-250 shows every year. You sir are with me all the time.
Thank you so much for this
Fantastic! Thank you for watching and singing along! That's a lot of shows! May I ask, who you're with or what you're doing? You can't send a link via this message board but if you give it to me in plain type I'll be able to follow it up. Best! Jeff
Thank you 🙏🏽 you have helped me to understand my voice type and how to maintain it and push it safely
I can't quite make it past D#4. I've improved and can get to D4 comfortably now, but the F is nowhere in sight.
Great warmup though! Love it!
This was so awesome for my range. Better than even the most popular videos on RUclips. You deserve much more fame and credit.
Marko Petkov RIP peter
Awesome!! Finally something I can warm up to for my bass/baritone voice! Please do more videos for our voice part. :-)
Will do! I always do the warm ups in five ranges. Big fan of the low tones!
Best,
Jeff
This warm up is just the best. I keep coming back to it every time. Love it. Helps me prepare for recording and performance like no other.
Excellent! I'm very glad to hear that!
Jeff
After doing this + more of your warmups and exercises every day I've gotten a much better voice and grown to know it alot better! Will keep this up, thanks alot Jeff!
Thanks so much for these videos. They are the best vocal warm ups on youtube. I go through this one and the tenor one thrice a week. Thanks so much
THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO. I feel as if you were listening to me!!! Great job!
you're a great instructor Jeff, I always used your videos
Thanks. Just getting back into a regular practice. This warm-up stretched me, but I can see it will strengthen me as I practice. Cheers.
This is a great help for me.
I'm glad I've found this one! 😃😃😃
Thanks you so much Jeff! I have just started to practice this everyday. The O.. E... part at 11:18 is too fast for me at the moment but will get there I'm sure :-)
Just for some background, I have always struggled with hitting high notes and am terrible at falsetto.
Nice work! Changing keys is, forgive the pun, key to making songs that aren't written for you specifically work for you! Keep it up!
Jeff
Thank you so much for these wonderful lessons!
It improved my singing a lot!
Thank you Jeff for this lesson. You're an amazing vocal coach.
This feels really good as a warm up, thank you!
Thank you Joaquin Phoenix
Hahahahaha
😂😂
I'm a naturally talented singer but I wanna be more intentional and disciplined with my gift so here I am starting my journey
Great to hear! ~pun intended
Who TF put a thumbs down?Jeff won´t insult you because he´s an English gentleman, I won´t waste my time saying you´re ungrateful. Thanks again,Jeff.
Thank you so much for that! Enjoy and keep singing in these odd times!
Best,
Jeff
I Really appreciate that you have something like this! Keep singing and helping others do the same!
Thank you! Will do! Enjoy the channel and thanks for watching!
Jeff
I’ve been taking lessons for a year and this has helped a lot with keeping a relaxed jaw and open throat. Thank you for creating this lesson!
