@@carlosbrum265 She does! It seems that Kim Cattral has had some public enough grievances with her Sex and the City costars (NOT friends, according to Kim.) Jean seems to have a happier, less conflicted career. She’s just brilliant!

I read she lost her husband recently, and it made me tear up. I wish the best for Jean
Also, this woman just lost her husband of 34 years eight weeks ago. I feel awful for her having to do all this press and ride the success of her shows while she is mourning.

Sometimes it helps people to work while grieving. If nothing else it facilitates their denial until they move through to the next stage of grief, or it helps them to do something "normal" (work their normal job) because everything else in the world is falling apart, doing the 'normal' everyday actions can help them. --- I personally am not that person -- I simply fall in a heap like Jello --- but I do know people like that. --- Sometimes it's just harder to stay at home and be confronted every second that the loved one is NOT at home. . . . and now we have circled back to the denial stage. It *_IS_* the first stage of grief and it is *very* real. --- Worry not, I am sure no one is forcing her to be anywhere. I am sure it is her choice.
She mentioned her husband briefly right before this; Seth could've at least offered condolences at the end if she didn't want to talk about it.
Doing normal things helps a ton. If it wasn't for normal things and laughter many of us who lost people would sink into a dark hole
OH My heavens, I didnt know Jean lost her wonderful husband. They fell in love on the set of Designing women and have been loyal and so loving all these years. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope God sustains her during this difficult time. I lost my sweet husband when we were married about the same amount of time...its not easy to go on without them, but happy memories get us through.

Jean absolutely crushed it on Hacks. It has been so great to see her in such a string of great shows and even better roles. From Legion to Watchmen to Murder Durder, I could watch her read a phone book and still be intrigued but the characters she has been playing lately are simply delicious to watch! Please cast her more! Everyone needs to Get Smart!

Jean Smart is incredible in everything she is in. She stole the show in 24, was intimating in Fargo, was a complete badass on Watchmen, and she is absolutely hilarious on Mare of Easttown.
I have loved Jean since Designing Women. She was so funny, beautiful and real...and she still is. God bless her.
Jean is accomplished at both comedy and drama. That is a rare combo. Her performances on Frazier were hysterical, she blew me away with her evil character on Fargo and she was great in Marr of .... I remember her falling down the stairs.. glad she didn’t do permanent damage. Love Hacks. Great lady.

She's good in everything she's in. I just watched a few episodes of Frasier that she was in and she's so funny. She should get an Emmy nomination for Mare performance. She has 3 Emmy wins 2 which were for her Frasier guest appearances.

Check her out in Rom Com “Sweet Home Alabama”. She perfectly nails the straight character of Josh Lucas’s understanding mother. Small role, but she totally nailed it.

Acting is one of the few art forms that relies upon other art forms in order to succeed. Writing and Directing and Acting are each part and parcel of the experience. When the synergy is there, it's magic. Jean Smart is magic. She is value-added to any piece she's in. Everything is made better by her presence. "She's a g*dd@m national treasure!" and I wanna be her boyfriend.

I felt a bit nervous watching the scene where she eventually fell over the railing on the 6th take. It looked precarious. Glad Jean's okay. She was great in "Mare".

Man! I'm an architect and I saw that scene. As soon as I saw her sit on that railing I called it. Wonder if they meant for her to fall and they took it out after she was hurt. That railing is built at least 12 in too short.
She was the sexiest one on "Designing Women". I was surprised that she didn't actually have a Southern accent.

Easttown is very good but it's a bit depressing and angry at times so for me at least, I've almost given up on it. I'm hooked now and like a good trout I'm ready to be reeled in and eaten.

I’m assuming they added it to the five days she spent in the hospital. They also give daily covid tests to actors on these big shows to get through working during covid.
