I am a hard core researcher of everything and I will admit when I am wrong. Your channel is the best buy and sell youtuber that I have come across. If you were closer, then I would bring some things in. I should bring some things in to my local area but most in my area are asking ridiculous prices probably because they made bad deals in the past and cannot let go of the old times. There is a town not far away from my city that does seem more fair and there is always EBAY. Your channel is real people doing what we are all suppose to be doing. Be real and treat others likewise. Fair and square. If you do not want half of its worth then go sell it yourself or else your business does not make sense with all of the tax, fees, etc. Your channel is also treating others to your thinking cap when it comes to who you hire. Honey, Ruby, Vic, and other team members behind the scenes. Thank you for real deal and an option to what is programming poor folks without knowing it on mainstream TV land. God bless them
It is a Ridgeway Cap, which replaced the original M1951 with a stiffened version. It was made by Falcon and replaced in 1962 by Cap,Field (Hot Weather)
My husband was a Navy Seabee and this is a hat they wear everyday with their "greens". Even their working uniform had to be starched and pressed and these hats, no different; he would put the hat on a metal block with screws to tighten the hat/material until it was shaped in that " blocked" style, and he would dip it into a pure starch bath until it was covered. He then would let them dry remove the metal block and then iron it until it was perfection just like the hat you have there. Right above the bill the menwould pin their silver rank insignia. When I saw that hat I had to smile, man, we went through a lot of starch during his 20 year hitch.
My dad was in the US Army in the late 50s and we have a picture with him wearing that hat. He was in his class c's (daily/working, olive drab fatigues)
Worked in TV news for awhile. They’re still using tape based drives for cold storage. A lot of industries still use it because it’s much more secure and durable.
@@mariagabrielle6383 I’d call the station and ask. Something that old probably wouldn’t be stored digitally, but most likely on film. I worked in the dallas market and one of the local colleges kept an archive of all captured footage and broadcasts back to the very first one.
Me and my wife really enjoy watching your videos, we sell a little on ebay and Facebook marketplace and I find it inspiring watching what you do and your knowledge of products. I feel you are very fair in your pricing and honest with your customers. Keep up the good work, please keep making videos, we enjoy watching very much. If I wasn't in Toronto, Ontario I would stop by. All the best
The "Julie" American Girl doll just represents that era, she wasn't made then. The AG company didn't even exist then. They use years for their dolls to portray historical times.
Merry Christmas to you, the family, the kitties and your customers! That guy was really strange about the weights, he wanted to weigh it and all!! Lol with you .25 cents a pound comes out to 8.25 so you giving him 11is way over. Anyways some people think there poop is gold and worth so much when in reality it’s “rusty shit!” LOL
When I was a kid I remember watching reruns of Gomer Pyle on WGN in Chicago. Gomer was always wearing a U.S. army hat like that one and that show was from the 1960s I believe! Funny how an item can spark a childhood memory and that army hat sure did! I have no idea if they are any older or later than the 60s. Pete, maybe you should do a compilation video of every person who's come into your shop to sell something and then exclaimed, " You're killing me man! " 🤣😂
I was a big fan of kiss when I was 10 years old and now I'm over 50 years old and they did pour a small vial into the red ink. If I was rich I would buy that comic. That was the big seller was that it was printed in blood. Granted it's such a small amount compared to the amount of ink they used to print the comic with.
That was cool with the weights price.. I got a kick out of it. haha. I thought the hat was from the Vietnam War. I see other people comment on it and they would know way more then I would. Early 90's on the computer software and yes people do collect them. Might be a good chunk of change for a whole set. Thanks Pete for the update.
The hat looks very French Gendarmerie, but it isn't one, however it may be the base to a hat, German NSKK officers in WW2 wore a similar style but the holes on the side where higher with those. It is weird it looks familiar and I keep going back to a French style. I think I will go with my gut and say it is the base for a hat still to be finished. EDIT: Found it its an M1951 Ridgeway Cap, used in the Orient with the Korean and Vietnam war.
Love your videos. Those disc golf discs in the background are driving me crazy. I would come in to take a look, but I looked up your shop and unfortunately that would be a 12-hour trip :-(
18:43 right before peter asked him that, I was just thinking to myself "is this guy nervous, is he really getting stressed by Peter's offer of 11 dollars"
I just found your channel, I'm enjoying it! Is that a special Iron Maiden Piece of Mind cd? They're probably my favorite band I've never heard of that KISS comic containing their blood! There isn't a thing Gene won't put KISS on!! I'm looking forward to seeing your other videos! Take care!
Do you have any vintage cassette decks or portable cassette players for sale. Also do you have cassette tapes for sale? What is you’re website? I am located in Philadelphia pa
that spin lock dumbell bar alone will sell for $15 plus that chrome one with weights will sell for $20 so $40 is what they will sell for, $11 is too cheap.
Lots of this costumers selling their stuff keep buying so many things hoarding it then later when they run out of money they go to Pitt.So Sad when people don’t value the money.

Man, I've really been missing these awesome videos, Peter. It's great to see and hear from you and your customers again... 😊
"It's rusty piece of garbage" - Pete LOL!!!!
I love how much your cat loves that doll bed! ❤
Me too, warms my heart!! So sweet 😻 !!
The hat is a "1950's US Army Stiff Fatigue Hat Small Size Korean War Era" found on eBay they asking $15
Specifically, the M1951 Field Cap "Stiff". Most famously worn by Fidel Castro.
You were so kind. I love when you dropped it to $9, haha. Should have stuck there.
My husband was a Navy Seabee and this is a hat they wear everyday with their "greens". I forgot to add that the men put their names on EVERYTHING. Back then you were issued a hat, if you wanted more you had to buy them yourself.
My dad was in the US Army in the late 50s and we have a picture with him wearing that hat. He was in his class c's (daily/working, olive drab fatigues)
The hat looks like the 1959 Cuban revolution “Fidel Castro edition.”
Spot on
Not Cuban. Cuban hats were soft and breathable. No structured like this one
I immediately thought Cuban ! Look like what Fedal Castro always had on!
My thought as well!
U got it
I hope Crystal Lake residents know how lucky they are that Pete is willing to buy their garbage
Thanks soooo much for the look into your business. I had a shop for 15 years, missing it alot about now.
😁 I remember the episode where that dolls bunk bed came in and was almost immediately claimed by that spoilt but very cute 😺.
Ahhhh at last, I've been looking for your channel for months as lost it. So pleased I found you again!
Pete from South Wales UK
I just started watching this channel and it is great!
Love the old stuff and the haggling!
Honey has her own bed and she is so cute.
I wore this type of hat. I was military police in the Air Force. 1962 to 1968.
Myron
Thank you for your service 💕 !! God Bless
Merry Christmas back at ya friend.
Worked in TV news for awhile. They’re still using tape based drives for cold storage. A lot of industries still use it because it’s much more secure and durable.
How might I obtain recordings from the late 60's from a TV news station in Tampa - WTVT The Pulse- when my dad was an anchorman there?
@@mariagabrielle6383 I’d call the station and ask. Something that old probably wouldn’t be stored digitally, but most likely on film. I worked in the dallas market and one of the local colleges kept an archive of all captured footage and broadcasts back to the very first one.
I love your parrot! I have 4 myself! They are quite entertaining!
Thanks Peter, merry Christmas

I was thinking the same thing but I wanted to see if someone else was too before I said it
Radar wore the same hat on mash
Thanks for putting more of these up.
How much did that guy actually think he was going to get for two dumbbells and a squeeze grip…lol
He wanted $1 per pound
I just sat and watch a man try sell 2 different dumbells 😆 🤣 😂 😹
"You are special cookie." LMAO😎
THAT SPECIAL COOKIE IS CRAZIER THAN A SACK OF CATS!
Lol why does he think he has a gold mine with some basic weights. You’ll be lucky to double your money and make $10 😂
Love that pedal car

I still have my KISS "Printed With Blood" comic!
That Pokemon thing in the background is awesome! checked your Ebay store and not listed! must be due to size, happy holidays from the Uk
17:02 It's a Rusty Piece Of Garbage - I laughed so hard at that comment i had my coffee coming out my nose LOL
Pete, I don’t know how you deal with these ppl all day long!
That hat is US Army issue for late 1950s early 1960s. Elvis was photographed wearing one.
Ohh I love the kiss comic. Might have to swing down there!
1950's US military ridgeway cap. The stiffened version was issued between 1950 and the 1960s. It was 'mandatory voluntary'
To the guy trying to sell the weights in the blue jacket, "let it go."
The hat looks very French Gendarmerie, but it isn't one, however it may be the base to a hat, German NSKK officers in WW2 wore a similar style but the holes on the side where higher with those.

Lol that tape drive ,I had one and I gave it to goodwill
This guy needs a show.
Wish I had a place in Winnipeg to offload my mids and lower lol
Great video Brother. Merry Christmas. 😀👍❤🇺🇸🇨🇦🌎🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯
"Gomer Pyle" wore one of those hats...:-)
True lol
Where have you been hiding Vicky??? Bring her out more often 😊😊😊
That hat looks like a 50's Korean War era Army Stiff Fatigue hat.
13:06 she’s so adorable 🖤
They have a bunch of old world Santa at Goodwill great video 📸📸👜👜👍👍💯💯💰💰
nice to see you back . great video
Just a tip from an ex-police officer, if you are given a name where the initial letter of the Christian and surname match letter, take a closer look.
Pete, that hat looks like a remodelled brimmed hat, prim cup right around leaving only peak, what you think?
Looks like a British winter hat from WW1 but it looks off
Merry Christmas Pete and Staff.
18:43 right before peter asked him that, I was just thinking to myself "is this guy nervous, is he really getting stressed by Peter's offer of 11 dollars"
At 1:55 ... I thought he was about to draw a gun from that pocket.
18:35 for those that you that wonder... yes Peter lost the negotiation and had to pay 1$ small win but still
Love the videos!!! Is Vicki camera shy these days?
That is CASTRO’S HAT! Lol 😂
The protective case is on the kiss comic to protect you from the chlamydia, and whatever else they have in their blood
That hat looks like something those 👨✈️Disney characters wear at the Disneyland parade.
Elvis had that hat! 50/60 era ...Castro used too
I’m a machinist for 25 years and have owned lots of micrometers, we always called Mitutoyo Mitt To Toy Yo !
"It's not a rusty piece of garbage..." "It's a rusty piece of garbage!" LOL
Thanks for sharing the video !
When people wake up in the morning what compels them to get their garbage together and sell it ?
£1 a kg in the UK for the weights an your customer was right ..the chrome one would sell good 👍
i love this episode, your extra 1 💰and the offer that he couldnt refuse 😂👍
I just found your channel, I'm enjoying it! Is that a special Iron Maiden Piece of Mind cd? They're probably my favorite band I've never heard of that KISS comic containing their blood! There isn't a thing Gene won't put KISS on!!

Honey is so cute in her bed. Such a good girl. 💜
Merry Christmas everybody
I hate how ppl always take trash to pawn shops and ask for brand new prices
I love New Yorkers negotiating 🤣 nice channel
For some reason I love shop videos.
Well Peter ripabollokoff😂 Looks like a foreign legion cap to me🤔 or from the polish gulag days😬
Definitely ARMY issue 50s like KOREAN CONFLICT..
My grandpa had this crazy hat.
Incidentally Korean soldiers had the exact same “cover”
Yes. The blood for the KISS comic book was accidentally put into the Sports illustrated issue with Big Bird on the cover. Google that.
Do you have any vintage cassette decks or portable cassette players for sale. Also do you have cassette tapes for sale? What is you’re website? I am located in Philadelphia pa
I would be shocked if you could get more then 25 bucks for that tape drive. It will never sell.
Totally agree and the seller knew it! It’s a door stop now.
Nadolig Llawen i chi i Peter, fel bob amser mae'n hwyl!

that spin lock dumbell bar alone will sell for $15 plus that chrome one with weights will sell for $20 so $40 is what they will sell for, $11 is too cheap.
Hi Peter , please please, please do a longer video with the dumbbell guy , maybe he needs his own channel 🤣
Lots of this costumers selling their stuff keep buying so many things hoarding it then later when they run out of money they go to Pitt.So Sad when people don’t value the money.
This guy said can you pull out the scale after you said I'm hooking you up buddy lol
Do you by chance still have the kiss comic book?
Do you still have that cycling Santa
I think the hat looks Cuban.. Castro wore one close to that
Love Honey💕💕💕
What do you use to videotape these video and audio?
My man made his own fucking Manual, real nerd shit love it!!
