I even figured the gog version was only $15 dollars, I'd just buy it and save myself a lot of trouble; but my credit union has decided that all online purchases after 8pm shall not be made. So I've started following the instructions online, but my steam just gave me a 'no connection' error and refused to download them, even though I definitely have a connection.
For the different mod manager issue, just use a mod manager different from the one you currently use. For GOG F4 GOTY with Fallout London, I'm using Nexus Community Mod Manager. For my regular Fallout 4 Steam entry I use Mod Organizer 2.
You can fix the resolution in the Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Fallout4Prefs.ini file. Just set this to your resolution under [Display]: iSize H=1440 iSize W=2560
I was grateful when you released a serious video about CBBE back in the day. Up until that point I was embarrassed to let on that I even used it, because of all the bodacius body-types and people just assuming the worst. I just wanted Skyrim characters that didn't look like Donkey and/or Shrek, and that mod did the best at it. ;)

I think Bethesda mostly thinks about modding in so far as they can use it to make more money. every time they try to branch into any kind of official modding or supporting mods beyond providing the tools to make them, it's always in the form of something they can charge people for
Your probably right except for the, well, you know, over 20 years they've pioneered and allowed free modding. I mean, it's their game, if they want to make paid DLC for it, they have every right just like you have the right not to buy it. But yes, my dude, Bethesda is part of Microsoft and they're a publicly held company with shareholders that seeks to make money like every company on Earth. We all know that.

@Gopher. I'd hold off on a playthough until an update or two. On a new computer with a fresh install of Fallout 4 on GOG, I get fairly constant crashing and at the 12 hour mark my saves got corrupted and when I go to "continue game" it loads for a second and then drops me directly to desktop. It sucks to have to replay that much of the game, but it'd be worse for you if you recorded and edited all that only to lose the run.
it makes sense to me that it would need to not be updated. they spent years working on this overhaul, and then Bethesda released a "next gen" update that broke the game out of nowhere. this shouldn't be new to anyone that has spent much time in the modding scene for the last like 4 years, they did the same thing with Skyrim Special Edition and now half of the essential mods for that specify that you need the version from before the update too
Yeah the FO-L as over 200 mods all contained within it, many are theirs, many are bought from others, many from other folk still active and others not active at all. So trying to chase down all the mod owners to get permission to change anything is next to impossible for many of the mods who’s creators are afk. Then add in Bethesda constantly updating the update re brakes everything again lol.
oh I missed that detail, I didn't realize it has a ton of other mods contained within it. that also makes sense then, there are a lot of inactive mod authors since nothing has needed an update in years until recently
@@DapperDemon yeah, it was going to be a minefield for Folon and they knew it going into the making of London just not to the extent of what happened at the end lol. Fingers crossed though this mod spurs on a lot of follow on content as the Folon teams said all their assets should be up for being used in peoples ideas to add their own part of the London and wider community mythos.
Yikes! I had to work and missed the live stream. Quick question: Did Gopher address the concept of running -- or at least hosting -- two instances of Fallout 4 on the same PC, simultaneously? I LOVED his vid related to multiple Vortex profiles, but that only covers profiles that have unique mod configurations, unique game-settings configurations, and/or unique save-games. I am interested in running "Fallout 4: GOTY", the fully-updated edition, with all my mods and save-games, and then being able to switch over to the pre-updated version, play in "Fallout London" as much as I want. I don't have the luxury of having two gaming PC's. I am thinking about just using mklink, to create symbolic links, and perhaps maybe "Mod Organizer 2", instead of "Vortex", just to handle the instances. I could write scripts myself, to rename folders, move shortcuts about, etc., but I'd rather not. That said, perhaps he'll include this concept in his forthcoming installation video, and I won't have to fudge with it all myself. :) [Update: ...and moments after clicking 'Save' on this comment, at 13:45 Gopher started talking about this very subject....]
Hi Gopher, just got too say I'm a huge fan, you are the reason i got into modding, and even games like skyim, fallout, so here is my question i guess i ran into a bug before i can even start the game, on the main menu of Fallout: London the title screen, when i try too start a new game its does it little spinning icon but that it??? Infinite Loading Screen after New Game??????? Please help!!!!!!! thanks gopher or whoever experience this same bug.
Exactly the same reason I downgraded manually, I saw the downgrader required my Steam credentials and it sent my paranoia through the roof. Thankfully manually downgrading through the Steam console was incredibly simple and the mod works great.

Is the downgrade that you do when you install the StoryWealth mod collection for FO4 the same downgrade needed for FOLON? I assumed it was but I don’t remember it taking very long and I don’t remember it asking for steam credentials either
I played 4hrs so far. FallUI and most simple UI Mods that dont touch the Level-UP screen work. Just died to 3 cock-roaches 4hrs into the Game on Survival. Also if you touch the Water its 250Rads/Sec, not sure if thats intended.
To keep both versions, just keep a copy of 1.10.163 and a seperate folder for the next gen version, then you point each mo2 list to the appropriate game copy. (or set up a stock game folder inside mo2 and keep fallout london files inside that instance) Its fairly easy, i have 1.5.97 and 1.6 skyrim installed at once, and 1.10.16 and next gen installed at once.

For me it was as simple as installing in gog and launching it. I can't imagine what you would need an installation guide for.
@@nephatrine I don't "need" it. If there are any teething problems Gopher will highlight them. As I said, I don't plan to play on launch anyway.
@@nephatrine if you don't the gog version of f4, you have to downgrade the game. The mod doesn't really work, and downgrading can be confusing

On the game size it’s fallout 4 combined with far harbour dlc, so around half the size of Skyrim map but with same around of content.
Gopher should make Mick as a follower mod for FALON. I could see that being the top follower mod

It kept crashing for me on Steam. I went ahead and purchased it on GOG, and only one crash thus far.
