There is a tab mistake in the video. I left out a small section of the lesson on it. My bad on that.
Plus @ 4:40, you said 7 on the B, but it's actually 5 on the B then end it on 8 bend.....
I’ve been really getting into Slash’s Snakepit recently. Their album “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” is full of fun riffs/solos.
That is one of my favorite Slash albums evwr
The second and last Snakepit album "Ain't Life Grand" is an absolute beast. Vocalist Rod Jackson is on fire.
That album is a bible of killer Slash riffs..
Five o Clock as well as Ain’t life Grand are killer albums! The sounds, the riffs, the energy all is breathing rock n roll

Don't Damn Me is definitely underrated. Probably one of my favourite songs on the UYI albums 👍
Yep with you on that one. The intro riff and main solo are as good as anything he has done. So much class playing on those albums
The term "underrated" gets overused a lot but Locomotive truly is one of those songs that doesnt get mentioned enough for how sick the riffs are.

P90s sound great, I used to hate how they looked so never bothered with them, but I've been playing a friend's Tele that has 2 P90s in it and I was surprised at how nice they sound.
Same here. I was always curious, but most of the ones I saw were singles,for whatever reason. I didn't want that. I wanted a dual P90 axe. So I found a double cut, and it's soo fun to play. Now I see the draw to the jr.

Slash and Izzy were the guitar combo that threw my guitar addiction into overdrive when I was younger. The release of Appetite was hugely monumental and life changing for me.
Since then, Slash's bluesy swag has been my constant sonic go to. Thanks so much for these clips you do providing insight into riffs by all the greats. You never disappoint and you're a chill guy. Really appreciate you and your content.

I have a LP jr just like that, except it is left-handed. Really like the simplistic controls. You just have to get to learn the volume and tone controls on this and you can still get a decent range of sounds.

I have been listening to gunners for 30+ years, locomotive and don’t dame me are probably his best guitar songs.
For those who missed what Robert said in his pinned note? The 2nd Bar is missing the "first" 1/16 note combination of 5 on the hi E and then 8 7 to 5 on the B.

Currently working on "sweet child o'mine" main solo, and I demand for an in-depth analysis of its weird licks here and there in there!
mostly in this solo you're going to be using e harmonic minor scale notes added in the Emin pentatonic box1 with some notes from Gmaj too

I found this link to some guy who's got a lesson plus tabs at half speed. I can hear where he's not bending properly at one point but, every other comments like "you nailed it bro, finally somebody got it right!!" So many underrated riffs on the Illusions records! First time I’ve seen someone appreciate Locomotive, thank you! Others I would love to see are The Garden, Don’t Damn Me (slash’s greatest solo imo) and Pretty Tied Up.

The tab is missing a run.... The part you demonstrate from 2:57 thru 3:11 did not make it to the tab sheet.... The complete lick as you play it here is two measures, each comprised of four 4-note runs (the very last "run" is just that bent B-string at the 8th fret). On the tab sheet linked above, the second measure is missing that first 4-note run. Thank you for these great mini-lessons (the best 4 1/2 minutes in town!).

Man I love watching your videos your an inspiration for my guitar life. I've been playing guitar since I was 12 and I still learn something everyday. Anything you teach by slash would be great beacuse i only know sweet chid o mine. I have a prs custom 22 and a fender t bucket acustic with a hot rod deluxe iv amp and they cost alot I had to sell my house to get them lol just kidding but they were expensive but I was wondering if you have any advice on how to go about getting a new guitar and amp without breaking the bank or waiting for a long time while saving up?
