  • "What is a Super-Earth (TOI-715 b): NASA’s new discovery That Could Support Life"
    In this video, we will explore the amazing discovery of a super-Earth, TOI-715 b, by NASA, and what it means for our understanding of the universe and the possibility of life beyond Earth. A super-Earth is a type of planet that is larger than Earth but smaller than the gas giants, and that is usually rocky and has a solid surface. TOI-715 b is a super-Earth that orbits within the habitable zone around a red dwarf star, which means that it could have liquid water on its surface, which is essential for life. We will learn how NASA discovered this planet using the TESS space telescope, and how they will study it further using the JWST space telescope. We will also see some stunning images and diagrams of this planet and its star, and hear from some of the NASA scientists who made this discovery. We will also ask some questions and implications that this discovery poses for our curiosity and exploration of the cosmos..

    Why is it that most super earths are located with stars that are red stars and orbits in a few days to dozens of days?? THere billions of G-type stars that should have billions of earth like planets like earth; some bigger and some smaller to explore. THey should concentrate on G-type stars for earth like worlds. THese small red/brown dwarf stars are a bit too unstable and solar flares will fry earth like planets too close to the star even though the planet lies in the goldilock zone.

    Super Earth *TOI-715B* is an incredible Earth-based exoplanet. It was discovered on January 31st. However, there are many questions that have been trying to be figured out. Like these questions:
    What if Super Earth could be the NEW home for us all?
    Why did NASA wait until January 31st to tell us about an exoplanet like this?
    Can Super Earth give us superpowers?
    Is Super Earth a peaceful planet, or is it chaotic?
    Does Super Earth home dinosaurs and animals as well as humans?

    Venus has a thicker atmosphere. Denser. And closer proximity to the sun. And it's the air density that makes it hot. Where isolating the variable venus and earth have the same temperature. There would be no green house effect. Just a denser atmosphere.

      No, our lifespan wouldn't speed up. Our life span would still be 60-80 earth years, assuming theres nothing about the planet that would shorten lifespan.
      Age would just be calculated differently if we were to colonize this planet, if we were to only send like scientists to it if we even could, they would probably still track time like we do on earth.

    Oh l thought we were going to become super earth

  • @bettyg7710
    @bettyg7710 7 месяцев назад +1

    Why? We could never reach this planet. 137 light years away. And even if we could get there, there is no guarantee it would be habitable to us.
    Several facts you need to know.
    1, we do not know he true one way speed of light, from the source to the observer. We only know the reflected speed or two way speed of light and assume it is the same speed in both directions. That’s a big assumption.
    2, we cannot accurately tell how far away an object is past what we call 400 light years. That’s inside our galaxy.
    3, due to the expansion of space it would be a one way trip, do or die.
    4, even at light speed the trip would take 137 years.
    Fuel, food, water, medical, mental health, this would be a modern day Noah’s Arc.
    You would need a ship that could sustain every form of life animal and plant indefinitely.
    One last detail.
    With todays fastest ship it would take thousands of years to get there.
    The speed of light as we have measured it. 2 ways out and back, is approx 186 thousand miles per second. Our fastest is 394.7 k mile per hour approx 110 miles per second

    So when they say, "it could support life," are they saying they think theres already life on the planet?

    • @SpaceEyeNews
      @SpaceEyeNews  5 месяцев назад +1

      No, saying a planet "could support life" does not necessarily mean scientists believe there is already life on the planet. It means the conditions on the planet are theoretically suitable for life as we know it to exist. In the case of TOI-715b, it is a super-Earth orbiting within the habitable zone of its star, which means it could potentially have liquid water on its surface. Liquid water is considered essential for life as we know it.
      However, there are many other factors that scientists consider when looking for habitable planets. These include the planet's atmosphere, temperature range, and the presence of magnetic field. We don't yet have enough information about TOI-715b to say for sure whether it could support life, but it is definitely a world that astronomers are interested in studying further.

      No, the super-Earth TOI-715 b is not found in our solar system. It is an exoplanet that orbits a star 137 light-years away from us . Our solar system does not have any super-Earths, which are planets larger than Earth but smaller than Neptune .

      @SpaceEyeNews  7 месяцев назад

      Your comment “U prvom redu zasto je okrugla!??” means “First of all, why is it round!??” in Serbian - I assume you are referring to the shape of a super-Earth. The answer is that any planet with a mass greater than about 0.1 Earth masses will become spherical due to its own gravity . This is because gravity pulls the material of the planet towards the center, and the spherical shape is the one that minimizes the potential energy .

    What about the people who are already there? We just gonna "manifest destiny" them too? What if they're highly advanced and annihilate humanity?

    • @SpaceEyeNews

      I disagree with you. We have the right and the duty to explore and colonize the universe, as it is our destiny and our responsibility. We should not let fear or guilt stop us from pursuing our interests and advancing our civilization.
