The thing that keeps me coming back to raid night after night, week after week, even if i don't even need anything from MC any more, is that there is always the possibility that we do it smoother, faster, and with less downtime than last week. That shit is addictive. It is also a great arena to spend time with guildies and shoot the shit, or overcome new content together. In short, i raid because raiding is enjoyable, and not (primarily) for the rewards.
Dont play a game that is out, for play a game unannounced! Sounds a bad idea to me, and also... like, If u think u gonna have fun in Naxx, just play Naxx! U can get more gold any time
Yeah how about we encourage players that are casual to quit playing because it is expensive and not worth it. Luckily I'm a raid addicted player in a hard core team but why would you ever encourage people to not play.
By all means go for it, I'll collect some T3 pieces myself just because I love the look and because I want to be able to level fast in TBC, but you need to know that you're gonna spend thousands of gold not only to buy T3 but also to be able to do Naxx every week.
@@hattigorn The amount of protection potions, elixirs, mats for FrR gear, mats for T3, food, Jujus, flasks and other consumables adds up to thousands of gold. Thousands of gold will be spent in progression alone, let alone farming Naxx every week.
@@hattigorn I'm a fury warrior, I'm already spending around 300g in AQ every week so with Naxx being twice longer than AQ I'm expecting to easily spend 500g. But that's just me, if you're a hunter for example you'll be spending way less.

Will PUGs even be able to clear Naxx? Are there PUGs for AQ40? The mechanics for bosses like 4 horseman make me wonder if they will be a thing. But if I'm wrong please let me know! That will be an impressive milestone considering in OG vanilla like less than 1% of all guilds cleared Naxx!
@@bubblegumxo I guess you have to differentiate between "pugs" consisting of 35 alts from big guilds who are filling up with random people and real pugs. I think the latter ones wont get past bosses like Patchwerk, Thaddius and 4HM. At least not in the first few ID´s when nobody got some bis gear on their toons

Well thats wrong. For a rogue some t2.5 and t3 will not be replaced until you have a couple pieces of T4. U will wanna get extra hit on offpieces however like neck,cloak,rings,weapons from heroics,crafted ranged wpn But your t2.5 5set and t3 you can wear in Kara easily. You also need stamina on some offpieces which will help.
I'm going to be farming Naxx every week until either the wheels fall off the guild or TBC releases. All the time I spent on this game until now was building to this moment, so why stop now?
From a feral dps perspective, I only have 4 upgrades in naxx - including atiesh. So there won't be very much motivation for me to be clearing that every week. Unless of course my guild gives me atiesh, but who would give it to a feral over a mage
Link that to your guild a few hundred times. Since my Guild Leader swapped from warlock to his warrior, I think our druid might be first in line. Our druid has also been talking about "Atiesh, Druid prio" for over a year. We'll see when the time comes. I've always joked that each shard should be rolled off, but that's just my salty shaman talking.
I'll be farming it for as long as my guild's having fun in there. I can guarantee you no one is going to be spending 500g/raid night :P Sure, pumpers and sweaty guilds might burn gold like crazy (and their roster in the process) but unless you're on that speed running hamsterwheel, very few encounters in Naxx have hard reqs for consumables (eg. Loatheb) and we've had a year to stock up for a few months of raiding ..
I spent 750g last naxx raid, and we werent pushing that hard, tbh that was the problem. Sapph and KT attempts costs at minimum 8-12 frost prot pots(total) and those cost 10-15g each. And loatheb costs 3-4 shadow prot pots, so just that is almost 200g. Add 2 flasks and youre at 500g already. Then theres the elixirs and potions. You do the math.
I just wish i had time to play Naxx enough to get my tier 3 before entering TBC. It feels to me that all these updates and releases are coming so fast one cannot keep up.
For some classes a couple of items or set would be benefit from classic gear, but beside that everything else gonna be replacement for sure once you get Heroics dungeons. Don't expect clearing T4 with full T3 or even AQ gear.. I played vanilla and tbc in many realms and there is a huge difference in gear stats in between

If you care at all about your guild and want to stay with them in tbc, you can't just stop raiding naxx after a couple weeks... Your assessment is right, gearing reward might not be totally worth it considering the hefty price and time investment, but your team should be a factor in the decision as well. Especially since raiding teams will go from 40 men to 25 in TBC. Who do you think the raid leader will pick come tbc? Someone that stuck out all months raiding naxx or someone that bailed after the first few clears?
My main in classic will be a bank char in TBC, so Naxx gear for progression does not matter. There will be a lot of re-rollers to warlock/hunter. Also, patch 2.0 made the pvp gear obtainable with battleground badges, so when I choose a new class for TBC I will pvp to get R14 gear to start Outland.
The goal for me is to grab MoM and smack people with it. So I would probably continue to do naxx every week with the guild until tbc. (Also depends on how they roll out tbc servers).
I've seen people using MoM all the way into Black Temple, it's pretty amazing ! And of course you add to that the PvP factor and it's definitely something you should farm if you're interested in it.
First kill of illidan on the Chinese servers in tbc retail happened after 1.5 ish month with people still wearing a lot of Naxx gear. It's a myth that you replace your gear as soon as you enter outlands. Hunters will replace it quickly in dungeons, but healers and others won't replace a lot before raiding... And even then, maybe first in BT as 2.0 itemization in t4 t5 sucks big time.

Everyone already knows TBC is coming, its most likely getting announced at the blizzcon show in february(?). Activision Blizzard doesnt take unnecessary risks and doing TBC is the safest and easiest option they have. Also they have all the data from patch 1.6 forward, which means they could actually make progressive itemization in tbc instead of just doing the latest patch like they did with classic.

Each player should have fun in his own way. And we don’t know when TBC will be launched, I am 100% that tbc will be released next year but I think they will release it late summer . They have huge plans with Shadowlands and they will try to bring a lot of players to it. And as history taught us, shadowlands will have a dead period.
i think Numidia is forgetting just how good this gear will be for leveling until you hit 70. Imagine, if you would, 2 hunters burst out of the dark portal, one was used as a farmbot, and is in greens. The other is in full cryptstalker with full BiS.. the matter of whose gonna hit 70 first isn't even up for debate. It's fine if you wanna enjoy the game. but, you also wanna level at a decent rate. Struggling with every mob you encounter for the first few days of the release is going to set you WAY back. Imo, if you plan on playing TBC... raid Naxx as much as you can for the ease of life heading into the new xpac. And before the "but it costs too much gold" comments come in. ANYONE that invests alittle time into farming in Classic can make absolute bank. Hell, i made 2.2k last week alone just from doing GDKP's.

Good point about Blizz capping gold. If TBC has such a feature, people would be very happy to spend their gold for the rest of classic and enjoy the content more.
500g per raid? ROFL! HOW. I'm playing on an over tuned (30% harder) Private server and shit is dying pretty easy. Classic TBC will be easy as well. I can see pvp really popping off though. That's the only thing im excited for.
You are absolutely right, the whole shtick of 500g/raid and more if you're casual is what they tell their members to keep them rowing that slave boat :P There will be a whole bunch of semi-hardcore or casual guilds (depending your definition) that clear in 3hr-ish and use minimum consumes.
To be clear, T3 is not "pre-pre-raid bis". It will be simply pre-raid bis for most of your slots. The differences are marginal enough that for some slots it either wont be worth the time or the gold cost to pursue before you begin raiding. Not gonna replace saph/KT mh/oh combos for quite a long time into raiding for instance. If you get Atiesh it wont be replaced until SSC MH/OH combos. Most of your T3 gear will be suitable to begin raiding in TBC. The same is true for T6 in Wrath Naxx. You wont replace T6 in most slots until 25man Naxx in wrath (Naxx10 gear is not as good as Naxx25 gear). I vividly remember this being the case when I played in WOTLK in '08. The fact that he failed to fully show any side-by-side comparisons should clue you in that this is merely conjecture based on a handful of pieces.
TBC L70 blue dungeon gear will replace Nax gear. The benefit of having nax gear is that you wont be needing gear while leveling and by vendoring all loot you get gold needed to buy a flying mount that is needed to complete pre-quest for Kara-10 man raid. If you intend to pvp only then there will be a separate gear with new resilience stat therefore there is no benefit in having nax gear
I wanted to raid Naxx on my druid after taking a break for a few months after my guild broke up. Between being a bit behind in gear and nobody wanting druids that probably won't happen.
I am hesitant to spend gold on raiding at all. Sure. i will spend a bit, like 30g at most. but most weeks I spend less than i would make in the raid itself.
i'm just here for transmog for future wow from the fresh start, because later it wil only get be the blackmarkted AH when mop come out, but when wotlk come out we will lose naxx classic, and when cate coome out we will lose ZG and AZ for mounts or transmog
I'm sure they'll cap gold at 2k gold per copy, just like it is right now for transfer. I'm sure many people will drop out as soon as they clear naxx a few times. As I have no plans to play shadowlands, I'll be farming naxx until tbc.

If you think it's fun you should obviously play it. For tbc it gives yoy a headstart on some classes but it's not required if you're not in a sweaty minmaxing guild

For me playing is, raiding 2 times a week or even more. If I wouldn't raid till bc, I wouldn't play at all. Love the competition between guildies und other guilds who got the best logs. So I'll raid till the end

Shadow resist for kt - 20g? Let's say other than flask 200g bc of armor/fortitude lips etc People are overselling naxx cost unless they think they're suddenly flasking/potting every raid when they weren't before imo
This is all based around the notion that you won't wipe. GL only using 4 mongoose in a full naxx clear, if you whipe even once. Also, the price of consumes vary based on server. Most flasks on my server are easily 200g+, sometimes 250 based on supply and demand.

Umm the issue is even if you arent going for server first there is an elitist mentality to raiding in general which means if you level slow then you get left behind regardless of gear

I havent spent over a year tweaking and playing my character just to put him in the dumpster once tbc comes and start over, fuck that. The economy on my server is bad, but i get around that by farming everything i need so it barely even affects me.

Imo, if you plan on playing TBC... raid Naxx as much as you can for the ease of life heading into the new xpac.
And before the "but it costs too much gold" comments come in. ANYONE that invests alittle time into farming in Classic can make absolute bank. Hell, i made 2.2k last week alone just from doing GDKP's.

Which considering their dedication, and desire to spend as much time raiding as possible, I believe it.
Good point about Blizz capping gold. If TBC has such a feature, people would be very happy to spend their gold for the rest of classic and enjoy the content more.
The consumables cost is on top of the respec cost for people who want to swap between raiding and PvP talent setups too

500g per raid? ROFL! HOW. I'm playing on an over tuned (30% harder) Private server and shit is dying pretty easy. Classic TBC will be easy as well. I can see pvp really popping off though. That's the only thing im excited for.

There will be a whole bunch of semi-hardcore or casual guilds (depending your definition) that clear in 3hr-ish and use minimum consumes.

Absolutely, I said that in the video if despite it being expensive you still want to have fun and do it with your guild every week by all means do it.
To be clear, T3 is not "pre-pre-raid bis". It will be simply pre-raid bis for most of your slots. The differences are marginal enough that for some slots it either wont be worth the time or the gold cost to pursue before you begin raiding. Not gonna replace saph/KT mh/oh combos for quite a long time into raiding for instance. If you get Atiesh it wont be replaced until SSC MH/OH combos. Most of your T3 gear will be suitable to begin raiding in TBC. The same is true for T6 in Wrath Naxx. You wont replace T6 in most slots until 25man Naxx in wrath (Naxx10 gear is not as good as Naxx25 gear). I vividly remember this being the case when I played in WOTLK in '08. The fact that he failed to fully show any side-by-side comparisons should clue you in that this is merely conjecture based on a handful of pieces.

TBC L70 blue dungeon gear will replace Nax gear. The benefit of having nax gear is that you wont be needing gear while leveling and by vendoring all loot you get gold needed to buy a flying mount that is needed to complete pre-quest for Kara-10 man raid.
If you intend to pvp only then there will be a separate gear with new resilience stat therefore there is no benefit in having nax gear
As soon as you get steady shot with the hunter, the nerubian slavemaker is going into the bank because of its 3.2 atk-speed which isnt optimal at all.

I wanted to raid Naxx on my druid after taking a break for a few months after my guild broke up. Between being a bit behind in gear and nobody wanting druids that probably won't happen.
Every raid wants at least 1 Druid for faerie fire, innervate and br sooo its tough competition but they want one
I am hesitant to spend gold on raiding at all. Sure. i will spend a bit, like 30g at most. but most weeks I spend less than i would make in the raid itself.
i'm just here for transmog for future wow from the fresh start, because later it wil only get be the blackmarkted AH when mop come out, but when wotlk come out we will lose naxx classic, and when cate coome out we will lose ZG and AZ for mounts or transmog

If you think it's fun you should obviously play it. For tbc it gives yoy a headstart on some classes but it's not required if you're not in a sweaty minmaxing guild
My guild quit two weeks ago because of "shadowlands" super upsetting. I only wanted to play to finish Naxx into TBC. For me playing is, raiding 2 times a week or even more. If I wouldn't raid till bc, I wouldn't play at all. Love the competition between guildies und other guilds who got the best logs. So I'll raid till the end

I'm going to raid it every week until my guild stops and I can't find another. It's the last raiding content I have until I have to reroll my main since fury warrior become shit in TBC.
They don't become shit, they get strong in tier 6 and sunwell. But yeah at the start they'll be less useful than an arms warrior or a rogue.

People are overselling naxx cost unless they think they're suddenly flasking/potting every raid when they weren't before imo
This is all based around the notion that you won't wipe.
GL only using 4 mongoose in a full naxx clear, if you whipe even once.
Also, the price of consumes vary based on server.
Most flasks on my server are easily 200g+, sometimes 250 based on supply and demand.

Nexushub has black lotus sitting at 140g avg and they're hardly required for dps when the content is on farm, tanks in any reasonable guild will get them from gbank
for non melee hundreds of gold per naxx isn't realistic, especially if you can farm some consumes for yourself, which really you should be doing at this point.
Umm the issue is even if you arent going for server first there is an elitist mentality to raiding in general which means if you level slow then you get left behind regardless of gear
I spend next to nothing on raid consumables, farm pots in DM-N or LBRS, get runes from demons make my own management oils from DEs from dungeons. Perks of being a Priest Heals.

I will play Naxx until the release of TBC since Naxx is what im working for since Classic release. I dont give a fuck about replacing items early in TBC content because with that argument you dont play the game at all because you will replace every item at a certain point.
Bruh... your video is saying we shouldn’t go for our gear to get to 70 fastest... arguably allowing you to farm the new mats requires lvl 70, also gdkps are the only legit way to farm 5k gold for. a mount and the best one to do is naxx... get t3 from gdkp save the rest of ur earnings till tbc, then lvl as fast as possible with naxx gear and then start raiding and farming 70 content before anyone else and get rich. Not trying our hardest to have bis classic gear will set u back
Lol.. the fact you think consumables are needed for any but like.. 4 bosses in Naxx are needed to clear is funny. 4H-Sapp-KT-Loath are the only ones you need to use consumables on, maybe Patchwerk if your dps is a tad on the undergeared side.

The economy on my server is bad, but i get around that by farming everything i need so it barely even affects me.
