Man, My company gave me this laptop through an external local vendor and with no proper support. I was going to buy wired headphones. But one last time i wanted to trouble shoot myself and accidentally found this video. Finally the issue is resolved with the last option. installed driver. Thank you very much.
Hey if you've try all the options in the vid and it still doesn't work, try this: Go to Device Manager> View> Show hidden drivers The Bluetooth icon should show up Bluetooth> Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) A window should pop up. On the top should be Driver> Update Driver >Search automatically for updated driver software After the driver updates, reboot/restart your laptop and the bluetooth icon should show up in your settings. This worked for me and I was immediately able to connect my headphones like normal. I hope this helps!
Hey, perhaps you can give my method a try.. My situation: 1) My laptop's asus UX510UXK Windows 10 64-bit 2) no bluetooth icon at the active centre, no bluetooth on-off button at "bluetooth and other devices settings", when i run troubleshoot it says "no bluetooth in my laptop" 3) using device manager, after clicking show hidden devices, there was a bluetooth section. But, even after trying update/disable & enable & restart, it didn't work, so i wanted to try to uninstall it and reinstall. So i uninstalled everything in the bluetooth section, and went to intel website: downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30061/Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-10. Downloaded the driver and run it. Restarted my laptop. Didn't work for me, bluetooth still not appearing. 4) So i tried to download from Asus website: www.asus.com/sg/Laptops/ASUS-ZenBook-UX510UX/HelpDesk_Download/. And this website told me the exact bluetooth driver my laptop should use. Downloaded, run it, but it says i already have a newer version of intel bluetooth in my laptop. 5) So i went to run the same driver i downloaded at the intel website (see no.3), there was this part that had 3 options: install, repair and uninstall. and i clicked uninstall. And went to install the driver from Asus website (see no.4). Restarted my laptop and it worked!!! So my conclusion was, - Using device manager, uninstall all drivers under the bluetooth section (i didn't touch other sections) - Go directly to your laptop brand website to get the driver (older version) that it was compatible with. - If it still doesn't work, then run and install the latest version of intel bluetooth (see no.3) to overwrite whatever version you had, and by running this latest version of intel bluetooth (see no.3) again, now uninstall bluetooth. Then go to your laptop brand website to install the older version bluetooth driver. This was what i did, and it worked for me! Not sure if it will for you~
@MZTYY-_ - so you've downloaded the latest version from intel already? Go to the same driver you downloaded, there should be this part that had 3 options: install, repair and uninstall. and click uninstall.
