Jace was spitting facts, he was thinking long term, while Rhaenyra was focusing on the short term goal. Lowborns claiming dragons will crumble the entire monarchy.
This will be very interesting to see what will come of this. What happened on this episode will indeed change everything and how people view Targaryen.
I think the reason jace wanted highborn riders is because their valyrian blood is so small since their house is mixed with other families so their chances of rebelling for the throne is weak.
Jace felt like his only legitimately was his dragons. He always knew he was a bastard, but who would question him when the people view the Targaryen as godly and those who had dragons. But now, if any low born with a little Targaryen in them can get a dragon, it put his legitimacy back on the table.
@@reactuniversity5277 completely destroys his legitimacy I think, he’ll end up having to fight another war should he ascend the throne. Whether it’s against his younger brothers, Aegon and Viserys, or against one of these dragon riders who might come to think they can do a better job.
the green have Aeomond-Vhagar Heleana-Dreamfyre Aegon-Sunfyre Dearon-Tesserion the blacks have Rheanerya-Syrax Deamon-Caraxes Jace-Vermax Beala-Moondancer Ulf-silverwing Hugh-Vermithor Adam-Seasmoke so its 4 vs 7 right now
Rhaenyra in order to get the throne must make the most devastating sacrifice to the system itself. If all dragons can be claimed by anybody than the illusion of the Targaryen power and dynasty goes away n that itself destroys the monarchy to which rhaenyra and jace have their only power from. The class system of the entire society of westeros will be gone thanks to rt actions that could future destroy the realm more than the civil war that is happening now. I get why Rhaenyra is doing what she is doing but the long game is in play n like usual Rt is not thinking about how this shakes the entirety of house targaryen. A great episode.
Targyrean bastards are referred to as Dragonseeds in the book. The sowing refers to sowing those seeds. The red refers to a bunch of them being killed in the attempt. They didn’t use the term Dragonseeds in the show so the sowing part can be a little confusing
@@reactuniversity5277 Nope, a couple of the other planned spinoffs are animated. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is live action, the cast has been announced and one still photo was released, so definitely live action.

They’re also seen as more honourable than low-born, and have an ancient fealty to the crown.
