Flying the Tello over a river, and it's drifting away !

I would like to film the bridge, but as soon I was over the water, the VPS failed and the drone was drifting away ! Strange was that it was not drifting in the direction of the water flow. When I was back over land all the drifting problem disappeared. Quite stressful !
This flight was over the river Aare and the "Badi" in Münsingen, Switzerland. This was right after the summer season.

Awesome job saving your Tello over the river! It looked a bit tense there as the optical sensor picked up the flowing water and 'locked' onto it. I've noticed the same effect when my dog walks underneath mine, it locks onto him and will follow him without me controlling it! You got some quite good range there going over the building towards the pool, how far do you think it went? Are you using a phone to control?
