Hello Happy Travelers!
Welcome to our first Alaskan adventure! In this series, we are traveling across the country to Seattle to board our very first Alaska Cruise that ports Ketchikan, Icy Straight Point, Juneau, Victoria British Columbia, and sails through Endicott Arm with a visit to Dawes Glacier!
Since our stop in Victoria Canada was canceled, today is another day at sea, and we wanted to share our final thoughts on our first Alaska cruise! So, we discuss our favorite aspects of the sailing, things to consider, and tips for cruising in Alaska!

Hi Harriet! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
Great tips! I remember hearing you guys are not big drinkers, but something to mention that caught us off guard on our trip, (at least on NCL) regardless if you have the drink package, while you are in Washington waters you are charged an additional alcohol tax, which was I believe was 10% or about $1-1.50 per drink depending on what you get. This was charged all embarkation day and started around 7pm the final night of the cruise as we entered back into US waters, pretty much immediately after departing Victoria. Depending on the size of your party (and I mean number of people, plus how much you like to actually party), it can add up pretty quick.
Oh wow! I didn’t know that, thanks so much for the info and for watching! 🤗❤️🚢

TIP...Bring a nice pair of high powered binoculars. I was able to see well over 100 whales on this exact sailing. Saw many full breaches and bubble feeding. TIP.....when looking for whales always look close to the land as that is where the fish are that the Humbacks love to feed on.
Awesome!!! Thanks for the tops and for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
Wow so many changes on this one. Since you missed Victoria I think you should visit in May wink😉😉😉😜. Glad you guys finally made it to Alaska. Thanks for all the great tips and info.
😂😂😂 Hmmm well, Alaska 2025 season gets released soon so we may have to pencil that in… 😜😜😜 We absolutely loved Alaska and can’t wait to go back! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
