I COMPLETELY agree with you assessment of Starwater. I saw it on this same ship actually. Huge props to the cast and singers.😁💕The show: I left the venue thinking "what was that!" I'm assuming there was a point there, but I have no idea what it was.
Laser tag was available on Quantum on our last cruise, Nov 23. Funny, we enjoyed Starwater; it was vibrant, energetic and quite the tech show. Not everything needs a 'story'.
Totally with you on the show (Starwater). I'm the TD for a performing arts center, so I see the gamut from "kiddie ballet" to seasoned pro touring acts. That show was a little too tech-dependent. Yes - the performers were fine - but no doubt, the weird "Vogue" stuff at the top was - confusing (?) and the rest of the show just didn't help much. "No flash photography" and then a bunch of performers with flashbulbs... And a song I always hated... Over and over and over again... It just went from "weird" to "really disjointed" and sort of hovered there until it was over and I could finally grab some pizza. And you should've spent the extra $9.99 for that lobster linguini thing at Jamie's. Good lord - That was the only place I hit 3 times on the Alaska cruise. It was insane.

I seen that show on quantum on my Tassie cruise in Australia I really loved it back then but thay change the people doing the shows.soory you did not like it but I throught it was amazeing show and the robots and light was best I had ever seen.

I was a little unsure of the Starwater production from what I had seen elsewhere and was thinking of dragging my 2 teenage sons along with me so I could see it, but your review has solidified my initial thoughts and will be giving it a miss. Thanks again for a great review video.

We unfortunately had bad weather on our Alaska cruise a few years back.. We also went in September, which is the end of their season, so we knew weather could be an issue. We were also on a larger ship, NCL Bliss. We were stuck in Skagway for 5 hours due to winds (also cancelled our helicopter to a glacier excursion), and we then missed Ketchikan a few days later also due to winds. One of the crew members told us it is a lot more common for the larger ships to miss ports since they are affected by the wind much more easily. Next time we do Alaska, its going to be on a smaller ship.
Hi! Love your vlogs. So informative. So honest! The shows in 270 on the Quantum class ships are pretty terrible. The dancers are outstanding, but what the heck is up with the stories? They try to be too artsy fartsy. Regular people aren’t impressed. Some of the shows in the aqua theater are the same. Weird.

We did Laser Tag on Odyssey of the Seas and enjoyed it a lot. They had the bumper cars but no roller skating so there still are some differences on the Quantum class ships.

@@stevebaker9346 That’s exactly what happened to us on the Westerdam in September, 2022. Pulled in at 9:30P (3 hours late). Nothing to do at 9:30 on a Sunday, so we did precisely that - Nothing.

So if they skip Victoria, don't they have to pay a fine for not visiting a non-US port when going from/to Seattle (a US port)?
I was on this cruise and we did “stop” in Victoria, but we didn’t get in until about 9:30PM. We were not able to off…so we did stop in Victoria.
