Welcome to our first Alaskan adventure! In this series, we are traveling across the country to Seattle to board our very first Alaska Cruise that ports Ketchikan, Icy Straight Point, Juneau, Victoria British Columbia, and sails through Endicott Arm with a visit to Dawes Glacier!
Today is our first day at sea! We explored the ship to see how Quantum of the Seas has held up over the years! With this being our first Alaska sailing, we noticed some differences on the ship, especially in the shopping!

We did an Alaskan cruise for our 25th anniversary and it was our first cruise!! The scenery is unbelievable!! It’s a shame you couldn’t stop in Skagway. 🙁 We did that train ride and it was really neat. You’ll just have to go again!! 😉

That happens to me on cruises all the time. I get something and it just doesn't fit my palate profile but looks so good. However I liked alomost everything I tried at Wonderland and I'm the pickiest eater.

Question for Matt & Chelsy regarding all off the retail stores and restaurants that are onboard a cruise ship. What happens to them when a ship gets decommissioned or is on an extended drydock? Does the staff get transferred to another ship? Or are they under the contractual understanding that their store/restaurant will close after X-number of years?
