Great review video. I don’t appreciate the videos where people disregard a certain manufacturer, or go strictly high end. It’s slow process to build my collection because with having a child, and life in general, I can’t just say “hey babe, I just dropped $160 on shaving brush.” A cheap Omega boar has already made shaving a nice routine everyday, so seeing the less pricey options getting recognition helps me decide where to go. I must admit my only point of comparison is a cheap supermarket-bought synthetic brush (that I will now just use as a beater for traveling), but the look and feel of the qed is everything I had hoped it would be.
Badger? I like the one that Razor Emporium sells. That would be the one I'd recommend. I have two of them, the orange handle and the blue and gold one.
Is the Symogue Caravelle knot just another name for their Mistura knot? I have an SOC badger, which is my goto. I am considering one of their mixed or badger brushes.
From what I can tell they are the same. When I was searching for a price on this brush I noticed the Carvela. I can't recall if mine was labeled as one or not. If you find out please let me know. But, from what I can see they are the same. It's a premium Boar & two band badger with a 1 to 1 ratio. 50% of each.
@@Tobins_throwbacks My wife, even though she’s glad I’m shaving more regular, has put a screeching halt on purchases for a bit. I’ve got enough soap to last a couple years. I should be able to sneak in another brush.
