Today my crew and I are working on some of the widest ash trees we have worked on all year. We have been working on this project for multiple days now how ever I was busy getting our work truck fixed the last couple days. Today we concentrate on loading some of the bigger logs. We loaded as many as we could in our small GMC. We ended up having to take tons of trips over to the dump but we made a good amount of progress. This video and the one coming up today are going to be just picking up logs but Fridays video I'll hopefully have some stump grinding. Wish I could've caught Freddy stump grinding that first huge one but I was just busy driving to the dump haha

Hey thank you for watching. So in New Jersey we are dealing with a bug called the emerald ash borer. For some years now they have been going around wiping all the ash trees through out the state. At this point its rare to see an ash tree which is still very healthy. The ones we removed in this video were actually very old ash trees but sadly they were completely dead.
What do you do with the logs at the log dump?
Appreciate you watching. So the nicer logs are cut into firewood. The rest like pine tree logs which cant be used for firewood will be made either in planks or recycled into mulch/wood chip. Theyre a compost company in the process of rebuilding an entire farm.
