I grew up in the Florida Keys, one time I put twin 50 horse 2-stroke Mercury he's on the back of a 14ft mirrocraft flat bottom Jon Boat! Needless to say I blew the thing over twice! I figured my top speed was around 75 miles an hour even with the nose trimmed and me sitting in the Val I could not keep the nose on them water that flat bottom Hall just picked up too much are! Love the vid thank you

Arr the serenity! Lol great video made me laugh. You realise you will never be happy with a slow single egg beater tinny ever again. 66 kph doesn't sound that far but when it's on the water that's a great speed out of that package you put together. The next test would be can you tow a skier with it? Great video cheers for posting it.

Sweet. I have a 3.5 m Hawker DeHavilland made by an aircraft company that diversified into boats.
Forward controls and a 9.5 hp Johnson delivered standard.
I modified the transom to handle a 35 HP long shaft Evinrude which tops out at 50 kph. Short shaft Evinrudes are rare.
I also run various other 25 hp Evinrudes on the boat as well as a rare Sportster motor Evinrude made in 1972.
Your boat is a classic hang onto it👍

Great video. Love it when these boats get modified. You will free up some speed if you raise the engine height. The "Angel Wings" the engines are throwing out to the side are an indication of being too deep....then play with adding cup to the 13" props. BTW.....also saw a Merc 200hp on a 14' Tinnie tonight as well....look it up on here. Not kidding!

the motors are 15" on a 20" transom you cant go any higher without 2 custom stainless props and the angel wings are from water off the lower bracket not the lower unit...only way that rig goes faster is with bigger props period 15 p stainless high rake perf props.
