Would love to see the detailed review! The HTP-1 was at the top of my list, but the lack of inventory for almost 2 years pushed me towards the SDP-58.

I second this. In a year or so, I'm looking at upgrading to either and Av10 or this HTP-1.

I'd watch an hour review on the HTP-1

Got the Denon X8500H and added the Spatial Calibration toolkit instead…this HTP-1 was on the short list though. All good. Thank you gentlemen for all you do!

Can this do the simulated Auro VOG from surround heights, like Denon/Marantz can? Also, what is the maximum allowable distance/delay between speakers? Denon/Marantz is limited to 6 meters which is an issue when trying to integrate subwoofers.

To be fair, during your BEW segment, low bass and high highs are severely cut down in all streaming platforms. You can test it pretty easily by playing the 4k bluray pausing, switching input to Apple TV, playing the same movie and pausing. You can hear dramatic differences in clarity and power. Now, you have to get your source levels matched in your processor between the bluray player and your streamer. But after that, switch between the two inputs, demo a movie you know well, and you can hear dramatic differences in bass and above 8-10khz between the two formats.

On sale now for $3,600. ASR's newer tests of this processor actually have it's S/N scoring higher (lower? BETTER) than Trinnov and Storm Audio. Yikes.

Has anyone heard any updates on ART or if they're going to update their Auro 3-D in include Center Height and VoG?

the htp1 always feels like the processor designed for the diy calibration enthusiast like most of our community

REW offers a great acoustic delay feature. It's super easy.

Basically looks like a budget storm audio AVP alternative. Too bad we won’t get monoprice products here in Europe.

How did these people miss HDMI v2.1 8k. A $10 dollar Sony receiver can support this. Something as nice as HTP-1 should be no brainer.

The HTP 1 is too old. It came out before HDMI 2.1. I don't know why monolith won't just release the same thing with an HDMI upgrade

@jebo4jc right emotiva and monolith are dragging there feet over this nonsense.

@@jebo4jc Hobie has come out and stated that a refresh on the HDMI 2.1 board would overload the current power supply. They would have to essentially revision the whole thing. As of maybe Jan of 2023, there were no foreseeable plans. Maybe that has changed.

2.1 is overrated. Only hardcore gamers really need this. So little content for 8k. It's a marketing rip off. If I need 2.1 just run the HTP-1 through an HD Fury.

@danzilla31stompinontokyo36 but this is not like Oppenheimer technology. Seriously push back on companies not implementing a $12 chip for HDMI 8k.
