very nice to watch a real DIY video where you didn't mind getting down to 'earth' and didn't cut out any ooppsss. thanks. I'm needing a floor pillow for a child's play area, this size is just right. thanks
You're very welcome! I made an etsy and am selling these if you're interested in buying vs doing it yourself. The link is in the description :D Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this easy tutorial on tufting. So grateful you didn't emphasise needing to tie specific knots and measure perfectly. Most people who attempt projects such as this can instinctually eyeball placement as you did. After watching your method, I no longer feel as if a tufting project is too difficult for me.
I need a window seat of an unusual size. This is going to work great to make it the way you showed us! I love the tufted part. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love this! I was looking for a floor pillow on amazon and immediately thought "i could make this for way less". Turns out i can and you make it look so easy! I'll be trying to stuff mine with sewing scraps to see if i can save on stuffing too
Great tutorial! I can't agree more with other posters who buy the cheap pillows from Walmart. The other day I saw a bag of poly stuffing from a craft store - about $9.00 for about the same size as the Walmart pillow. Now to may my own floor pillow!
@@Jaybeccaofficial I wish my sewing machine could spoil me too, but she is out of commission at the moment. Cant buy machine oil during quarantine lol.
@@SpecsAppeal it's surprisingly easy, but it takes a little getting used to stitching tight spaces and weird curves. I usually use my sewing machine when stitching flat pieces or flat hems, and hand stitch circular hems and tight sleeves. My biggest advice is to do practice stitches on a scrap fabric to get to know more about your machine. every machine is different. experiment with tensions and maneuvering.
@@djbthunder Normal pillows.... like the "Filler" material you would usually buy that is more expensive... just remember to OVER STUFF it... and use a pillow case that is 2" littler... for a 26" x 26" pillow... use a 28" x 28" pillow insert (that is for a pillow insert) but if you're using just pillows to use the stuffing... really stuff it to the max... because it will flatten a little.
@@djbthunder I totally understand that... Good luck... if you have any other questions ... let me know. I will tell you this... Make the big pillow, with like a good SHEET material... Then when you cover it... Make an ENVELOPE cover... because you'll want to be able to remove it to wash it... You don't have to use zipper.
It would be too hard to explain through text. I recommend searching “how to invisible stitch” or “how to sew a hole closed” on RUclips so you can see how its done in more detail. My way was sorta “make shift” to get the job done. I hope this helps 🤞🏾
The fact that you started right away without the excessive talking got a thumbs up immediately. Great sense of humor and tutorial !! 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much!! 😄
Amen!!!!
Yes!!! That’s why I subscribed and thumbs up
No excessively loud and annoying mall music. No excessive fluff talk. Clear and concise. *subbing*
Thanks so much!! ❤️
Love that you got right to the point
RUclipsrs have gotten out of control with these intros and 20-minute discussions with themselves.
Lol! I find that super annoying so I try not to do it 😂
Love this! Easy and clear to follow! Love your style, especially with the wine 😉- Thank you

I like your honesty. "Do a know in whatever way you do a knot." Very useful, unassuming video. Thanks!

Yeaaa I think I’m going to start buying Walmart pillows instead now too. Goodluck with your pillow!
Going to attempt this. Perfect for outdoor learning area at my child’s school. Thank you!

Came here for excellence. Was not disappointed.👏

Lmao yes hunt them down!! Thank you 😭🥰
I like the wine part 🥰🥰
That was my favorite part 🤣
I think it looks great
Thank you!
Did this but hand stitched EVERYTHING. Still, I really liked the result. Great tutorial!
dan Wow! That’s awesome! I try to avoid hand stitching as much as I can 😩 its so tedious to me. I think my sewing machine has spoiled me lol

I tried using regular thread for the center but it kept snapping. Im i doing something wrong or is the thread just too thin?
I think the thread is too thin. I tried using regular thread too and it wasn’t working for me
Well done. More grace
Thank you!
I need one for myself.
Try it! Its super comfy :D

HINT:
I was so tired of paying a lot of money for "Foam"
I bought cheap pillows for $2.50 at Walmart... same as the expensive foam... it works.
Cool! Thank you for that!
What pillows did you buy?? Foam or normal pillows

Thank you!!
love this!! wanted to ask, would bean bag beans also work as a filling?
Yes that works too!
How many bags did you have to buy?
Great
Thanks!
I like the tutorial, but the thumbnail is misleading (you are making a different cushion than the one in the thumbnail)
pacator17 thanks!
👍👍👍
Omg I’m a make one for my kids u can use a blow dryer of vacuum cleaner with the box maybe
Hmmm how would I do that? 🤔
Hi! Would this work with a memory foam insert?
Most likely. The tufted part may be a challenge depending on how thick the foam is
You did a great job on this. Leave yourself a bigger opening next time😀
Thanks!
Was that only 1 glass of wine or a bottle needed? Beautiful pillow btw!!!
Thank you! One glass was perfect for me 🤣 I don’t think I would’ve finished the video if I had the whole bottle 🤪😂
@@Jaybeccaofficial lol.
How do you get the thread closed after it’s gone through?? I don’t think I understand🤦🏽♀️

You need "mattress stitch" - invisible seaming used by knitters & toy makers
I need to make these for my rescue dogs. The dog beds are ugly and expensive for more than a couple. Ty.
You’re welcome! This could easily be used as a dog bed 😄
I liked your tutorial! But have you sipped any wine in the end? ;)
Lol most of the wine sipping happened off camera. My glass was finished by the end 😂
@@Jaybeccaofficial Oh okay, because I kinda worried you might have forgotten about some of the ingredients 😁
