Thanks very much Alan, I might try and get some suitable ones for the Mobylette, they are both useless for getting just a little bit of shopping. Take care, Jeff
Hi Sue, thank you very much, cosmetics are nearly done, just hope engine and ignition are OK. My mum and uncle are both in hospital at the moment. My mum had a fall about three weeks ago and broke her hip. She has had another fall in hospital, and has been taken back to St Peters from Woking community hospital. I can't get any information as yet. Now stuck with work. Jenny doesn't like the heat, she's having her hair cut next Friday. Take care, Jeff and Jenny xx
Oh Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, please give her my love when you see her. My mum has had 2 sessions in hospital with sepsis & pneumonia xx
@@susanfisher8075 Oh dear sorry to hear that, please send her my love as well. Although I am dealing with two elderly relatives, I also became a grandad last week. Her name is Rebecca.xx
Hi Martin and thanks very much. It's nearly there cosmetically, just hope we get something out of the engine. Once that's finished I will have a rest from mopeds for a couple of months, but not sure what to do in the meantime. Take care, Jeff
like the new intro Jeff....well done on the seat.....that took some commitment....I would have bought a replacement...... retaining the original is the best way though........cheers for the video.....
Hi Adam, I'm glad that you liked the intro, I fancy a change every now and then. I probably would have bought a new saddle in the past, but this one didn't really have any deep rust. Take care, Jeff
Hi Jeff, hope your well, that seat looks good as now you done a great job on refurbing it, looking good and original soon be on the road, like the new intro. Catch you soon Take care
Hi Shaun, I'm not too bad thank you. My mum is back in the main hospital after she fell again in the community hospital. My Uncle is in the same hospital with a serious infection and of course I'm the next of kin for both. Just a couple more episodes until the Velosolex is finished, engine permitting. I hope you are well also. Take care, Jeff
Jeff thanks for taking the time to make and share these videos. I'm a fairly new subscriber, drawn by the Solex videos. I have a Solex project on my list. I'm curious of how robust is the powder coating? Certainly looks great on your videos and also I wonder if you could do a video on your powder coating "set up" if you ever get the time. Cheers Baz
Hi Baz and thank you for subscribing. The Velosolex is nearly finished cosmetically, hopefully the engine and ignition will be Ok. I will be having a little break from mopeds for a couple of months. I have just bought an old lawnmower and see how we get on with that, just for a change. I to have some separate powder coating videos, but if you go to Retrorestore, Martin on there has the same kit as me and he goes more into detail about it. It was him that helped me get going. The one thing about powder coating is that as long as the metal is prepared well and clean, once it has cooled down it is ready to go on. My only problem is that I am limited to the size of my domestic oven. The only bit of the Velosolex that didn't fit in there was the frame tube. Take care, Jeff
Nice update Jeff love the saddle bags Great Idea 👍👍👍👍
