A. Is this 2005 P R ? B. Did they march ANY Baritones, or just an Entire Section of Euphoniums ? C. If Only Euphs, is that Rare, or Common for Top 12 ? (*Percussionist Asking)
Really isn't that hard to swap to Euph. I started on trombone as a freshman and then swapped to euph as a sophomore. Then I swapped to French horn and marched Mello for my junior year. Auditioned for Boston the very next year on mello and marched with them in 2010. Very doable.
I marched bari in DCI. We (usually) have a section of both baris and euphs. Some corps (like Phantom Regiment, shown here) have only euphs, and some have only baris.
@@jakebaker1051 They’re not inherently out of tune. They do have tuning quirks, particularly the mellophones, but no more than normal brass instruments do. Trust me, I’ve played a G mello bugle - you learn to wrangle the beast and they make a MONSTER sound.

That is pr 2005 (most recent show ive found and i love it so much) and im pretty sure most top 12 corps march euphoniums but i might be wrong
Phantom just uses euphs, a couple other corps do, but most have a combination of both baris and euphs

Many DCI drum corps buy new horns each year, the old ones go to local schools and worthy causes for a fraction of their original cost.
