Yeah it is simpler in lazer but seeing an S with 20+ misses is not rare and i think that kinda takes away from FCs since they are not differentiated. There needs to be something that makes FCs visible

Willy do you think score v2 is really will be the way to calculate scores in future? How will they convert past scores? Imagine people like hvick who no longer plays the game or imagine mrekk who has this much amount of 1k scores and put extreme amount of effort to their scores.
Theres not a way that they can implement score v2 without wiping all the old scores. At least thats what i heard a while ago and i dont think anything has changed since then
lazer scoring is not scorev2, lazer scoring is made specifically that it only requires stats that are saved for each score, meaning they can be very easily recalculated.
I heard that they will have a separate leaderboards for the old scoring system (stable) and another one for the new one. I might have heard it wrong but thats what i remembered.
I noticed how weird it is in standard. Compared to other modes In mania it makes a lot more sense being all based on your acc and the misscount doesnt matter. So 95 to 99.99 is an s rank, 90-94.99 is an a rank. 80-89.99 is a b and so on

*I've wasted 5+ years on this game, and if you're kinda new, just remember this -* if you're not playing a very short map (something less than 1:30 min) if you play like a normal human being (you don't spam and you normally don't play for a pass, which means you won't get like a full 50's stream) With those two, it's certainly an A rank play if you go above 93%. And with this in mind, it's ALWAYS an awesome surprise for yourself, then you get like 92-92,7% accuracy and still get an A(cuz the 92% is usually a B). I find this method the best one, just because of that sudden A rank reward, I always get happy about it :)

Tekkito has a 97% dt fc on a certain quaver diff which is an A Rank for some reason
S rank has a 50s gate on it iirc where if you get over a certain number of 50s it knocks you down to A regardless of % acc

I remember when I fc'd my first 5 star (in osu!droid) I got a 87% A rank and I was so confused

This is why I prefer osu mania, the acc system is not complicated
S = 95% or above
A = 90-94%
B = 80-89%
C = 70-79%
D = Below 69%

the funny thing is, in mania its super simple.
100% == SS
95%-99% == S
90%-94% == A
80%-89% == B
70%-79% == C
0%-69% == D

I think mosy logical way is separating maps that got ranked before and after the rework but this still has so much inconveniences

@@irek484j2 because lazer grade calculation only takes accuracy into account (no "dont miss for S rank" stuff), you can get an S rank with misses
