Good guide. I've been building and using tape measures for years and honestly have never noticed the inches stamped on the back. I usually bend the tape in a tight corner and guess as close as I can. I'm going to try to add the distance next time. Thanks for taking the time to make this, just goes to show everyone can learn a thing or two they didn't know about something commonly used.

thank you soo much dave !!! my dad was 3'and dit .dit ,dit ..... and i thought the " dit" was each line after the #. im 56 and i still didnt even know !!!!
