  • Byrna LE Less Lethal Protection Unboxing
I ordered this a few days ago, and here it is.
    Check it out here: byrna.com/
    From the website:
PATENTED PULL-PIERCE TECHNOLOGY: CO2 is stored in the launcher unpunctured until the first trigger pull. On first trigger pull the CO2 is punctured and a projectile is launched simultaneously.
UPGRADED WHITE DOT SIGHTS: High-Contrast bright white sights which allow for quicker acquisition in high stress situations.
SUPER-CHARGED: the Byrna LE Launcher is 60% more powerful than the SD. Max projectile speeds of 340 feet per second.
INCREASED SHOT CAPACITY: 40% Greater Shot Capacity than the standard Byrna SD. Fire up to 35 rounds per single 12g CO2 cylinder
STANDOFF DISTANCE: 33% increased effective range over the Byrna SD. Accurate at up to 80 feet.

Give it time, the technology is pretty new. Before too long they'll take this defense option away from us too.

Never used one myself. Not a bad looking setup and certainly something to consider. Take care bro~John

I've got to get it out in the field to test it first, but so far I'm thinking this is a reasonable less-lethal alternative to always having to carry.

Can you make a video of you using the BYRNA LE

Yes, I plan on making it early next week. I've ordered some extra projectiles and I'm just waiting for them to arrive. Currently I only have what you see here, and I didn't want to use-up the few projectiles I have.

It comes with an oil canister how often do you need to oil the gun?

You use an oiler CO2 cartridge every 400 shots or so depending on the environment your shooting in.

Ammo idea: same size but mini catapults, aka little spike balls. Do you think that's possible?

I don't know. But really, I'm new to "launchers" and generally prefer a lead-based solution, so currently I'm only using products made by Byrna in my Byrna. If my launcher fails to perform, I want to know it's a failure of this technology, rather than my modifications or actions. Personally, I wish they would make some ammo with little charges in them, like mini flash-bangs or better.

How much was the pack or kit with the Byrna L E? Thanks. 👍

This kit with the LE cost me $479, the same kit with the SD is $379. There are different kits if you look on Amazon, or even at Bi-Mart. I bought this directly from the Byrna website. Last time I looked, Amazon had better prices than the Byrna website, and different kits.

In a pack like this I've seen the SD for around $379; the LE for $100 more.

And that's why they make the Byrna SD. I thought about getting that smaller less expensive model, but if I was not happy with how it performed, I'd never know if it was the model I chose, or the entire concept of a CO2 powered launcher. So, as they say, if you gotta go, go big.

I've traveled on Delta and Alaskan with my Byrna several times. You simple check it in unloaded with the magazine and CO2 cartridge separate from the launcher. It not that hard as long as you let them know and you carry the Byrna card with you

I travel every single week for my job. I'm gone Monday and fly back Fridays. I carry this with me every single time I get on a plane. Can you carry it on your person no. But you can definitely carry it on the flight.

Have you checked a firearm recently? This is a whole lot simpler. I've not flown with a rifle in a few years, but the last time I did, it was a pain.
