    I bet that sounds fantastic. I had a system similar but not perfected in my warehouse and I could move inventory around to improve the sound, it was magical. If I win the lotto, I would go with Accuphase, Sonus Faber and Kusma in the house. More elegant. Might have to compromise on the sound, I dont know.

    Hi, happy I found your channel. I have been using SPU GE for a few years now and just aquired rmg309 tonearm. I am glad I read what you wrote and it has kind of uncosciously confirmed my experience- much calmer presentation on 12inch tonearm. Waiting patiently for mine. What do you think Lenco vs 401 as a turntable?

    • @jelabs
      @jelabs  10 месяцев назад +1

      I was an early adopter of Lenco - jelabsarch.blogspot.com/2012/07/je-labs-collection-of-idler-turntables.html - that article was archived from my old website - web.archive.org/web/20080702181336/members.myactv.net/~je2a3/welcome.htm
      IMHO and experience, in refurbished stock form, Lencos are good but aren't on the same level as the Garrard 301, 401 and Thorens TD124. I have no experience with Lencos that have been rebuilt, wherein only the platter and motor are retained.

      @@jelabs very nice writeup about alternatives! On my Lenco I have glued the underside of the frame with bitumen, stiffened bearing mounting location, replaced standard bearing with ceramic and the pad with POM.
      My friend has a 401 which he would like to exchange to some of my other toys, so I guess I will ask him to lend it to me and I hope I will hear the difference with my own ears :)

      FWIW, here's a video of my Bogen B60/Lenco L70 from over a decade ago - ruclips.net/video/6OD7QcL6sf0/видео.html

      Glad you liked them!
      Since this is a pair of pre-production prototype that was sent to me for evaluation, I have no idea about pricing. You'll find the links to Lycan R&R's contact information in my blog upload - jelabs.blogspot.com/2023/12/3d-printed-wp12024-horn-from-lycan-r.html - which is also in the description of the video.
      Have a great holiday!

      @@vuxnguyen - My youtube uploads are merely supplements to my blog articles. I already linked it in my previous reply and also in the description of this video. Everything I have to say about the WP12024 including my references to the Altec 32 horn are there. Thanks!
