Here is an OP HUNTER RANGER Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3! The Hunter Ranger is primarily a bow user, getting a massive boost to their ranged attacks when they get volley. This will give you a reliable area of effect attack that can cause effects like icy surfaces. This can interrupt enemy casters as well as trip martial classes. The nice part about this is we get a lot of versatility because we have spells and we can also attack at close range. I think that the ranger is similar to a ranged paladin, just without smites. This build is very fun to play as with all the icy surfaces you can create to make enemies slip everywhere

If you aren't going to use heavy armor or one of the exotic material armors like the Armor of Agility, then the Magic Initiate: Cleric feat is one of the best options. It is bugged so that in addition to giving you 2 cantrips and 1 cleric spell it also gives the effects of Medium Armor Master so you can get +3 AC from dexterity while wearing medium armor.

I’m in act one and I’m using the titan string bow which adds your strength modifier and the dexterity gloves so I dumbed it and when straight strength. I will say this thing is dangerously strong. Never thought I’d like a archer build

You can buy a bunch of strength potions from auntie Ethyl and it’s very strong here!

You have to get the drakethroat glaive in act 2! That’s how you can make it more lightning focused until you get lightning arrow

I never was drawn to the Ranger class. Much like the fighter class, it felt too "mundane" for my tastes, for lack of a better term. But you genuinely made it seem interesting

Yeah the class is basically what you’d expect from it! Adding ice patches to our arrows to interrupt concentrations is pretty strong, alongside the volley attack the hunter gets becomes quite strong

@@Margellan you get bow proficiency from the ranger class so you’re all good!
