Hi, that's awesome! Looking forward to canning some pineapple when they're in season as my husband loves Pineapple! The store bought pineapple is always small, tough, and just not nice. Can't wait to have some home canned pineapple in our pantry. Thanks so much. I'm a city dweller on the North Shore.
Very lovely video , only have a presto pressure cooker for a little while , learning how to use it , my first go was doing wheat grains jars for growing mushroom spawn to be inoculated with liquid culture ,fingers crossed I done it right , now I’m adventurous enough to try other things like your pineapple so thank you for sharing .👍
A steam canner is on my wish list. I need to get pineapple on my shelves also, just waiting to find a good deal on them. Thanks for the video. God bless
You are so welcome! I wanted to buy one as well until I learned you can just use a pressure canner. It saved me money, and now I don't have to store another piece of equipment. Thank you for watching. God bless
Hey Connie. Thanks so much for checking in. It's been a rough month, but I'm ready to get back on the horse, so to speak. We have had a big cyclone go through as well. I hope you and your family are well.
Just found this. Im jealous regarding your pinapples, i live in Dunedin South Island and its about $5 to 6 each. So my treat is buying one every once and a while for me to eat.
I have a steamr canner ..never used it...but my Presto is my workhorse ..I have 2 ... and this is first time I steam canned ... this video was so perfect for my 18 pineapples I had to can up ... thank you! Happy canning!
Well done. 18 should see you alright for a while. Haha, I had my grandkids recently, and they loved it so much that they used 7 jars worth lol. Take a look at the lemon concentrate video as well, as I update a couple of tips as well. 😊
Great to hear the four jars canning lids work great on our jars in NZ ive bern wondering that for a while and was just going to get a small pk to try now ill get the 100's box thankyou😇
@@FarmersWifeHomestead I can't find your carrots 🥕🥕🥕 video. I've done four jars today and three jars of tomato pizza/ spaghetti sauce 😋😁😋. Thank you so much dear friend 💗😘💗.
Hello, just seen this video great job. How did you elevate the jars on the bottomso they weren't touching the water? The rose red homestead web site has a good stream canning guide (in the download section) that you might find interesting😊
Thank you for watching. They are only sitting in a couple of inches of water and I haven't had any problems so far. I could use a little rack I have to raise them so I might just do that. Thank you!
That's awesome to hear. I just love the method it frees up so much valuable time. I have a couple of other more comprehensive videos if you need them. I would love to hear how you go. Thanks for watching.
Hi Stacey. I only have a Crock-Pot Multi cooker. I have never water bathed before but would like to learn how. I have Scarlett runner beans every year and only turn them into chutney. Can I do as you've done here in my Crock-Pot?
I just tried this with some applesauce, also in a presto, though the smaller one. The air vent never did pop up. However there was a strong steady stream of steam coming out of the steam vent, so I’m assuming it’s ok. Any thoughts about that? Thanks so much!!
Hello, and thank you for watching. That's strange it never popped up, especially for a smaller canner. If you had a steady stream and you canned for the correct time and the content was hot, it should be ok. I see Rose Red Homestead has done it with just a pot, and that doesn't have an air vent. So it should be good.
You only need to water bath can pineapples for 10 minutes. Just enough time to seal the jars and not over cook the pineapple as you would want it to maintain its crispness for later cooking use
I wasn't water bath canning. I was steam canning and you steam can 5 minutes longer than water bath canning. For pints as per the Ball canning book pints are 15 mins and quarts are 20 mins water bathed. I've been canning pineapple for years now and it always turns out perfect :-)
A supply of pineapple is so nice to have. So refreshing.
Fantastic video and information Stacey, thank you 😊
You are a genius. I hate water bath canning. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this method. I love being able to ise 1 pot for more than one use.
You are so welcome!

@@FarmersWifeHomestead good to hear your doing well. Hopefully you didn’t have too much damage from the storm. Will keep you all in my prayers.

I only buy them when they come on special and in season. They are that price up here normally too.
Thank you for this video! I am doing pineapple pints in my 23 qt presto I will use the steam version Thank you from the USA
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and taking the time out to leave a message. I'm down to my last two pints, so I need to do some more.

I've not had one failure. The shipping is horrible, however! It's gone up drastically. They are worth it, though!
Thanks yes i know rural shipping in NZ is crazy too but worth it for items that are reliable😊
There's a new company and is located in the United States and mixes cans and jars in the United States Azure standards
calcul . here in Canada ,,, 2.99 ca each pinnaple 29.99$ for 16 jars...
🎉😂❤🎉yay! I've bottled seven jars of pineapple 🍍😁🍍. Perfect 😂🎉😂!
Well done. You will never buy canned again.

Hi Stacey. I only have a Crock-Pot Multi cooker. I have never water bathed before but would like to learn how. I have Scarlett runner beans every year and only turn them into chutney. Can I do as you've done here in my Crock-Pot?
Unfortunately no, beans need a pressure canner to be safe.
@FarmersWifeHomestead can I do the pineapple though 🤔?
Hi Stacey
Just made 12 jars of pineapple. And it's the second time using my new canning pot. What is the shelf life of these jars.
They are shelf-stable as long as they stay sealed. But they will hardly last too long they are so delicious.
Hi ya
I live in New Zealand as well. Just wondering where you got your pressure canner?
Thanks
Hello, I got it from Oz Farmer in Australia
