supposed to put the engines in from the bottom on 92-01 civics and integras unless the transmission is off the engine then put the transmission on after from the bottom goes much smoother and with less risk of damaging a/c components and engine bay work/ paint only ef civics and crx engines/swaps can smoothly be installed from the top..... and you can prime the engines by simply unplugging the dizzy instead of the ecu

I am still kind of confused. I know the donor engine put a rod threw the block, and that's where the head came from. What I'm wondering is, did you break anything or mess it up anymore than it already was when you installed it and tested it? I'm guessing the combustion chamber expanded with the catastrophic rod failure but, what was that the sole cause of all the damage to the head and valves? Are you so bummed just because you couldn't deliver on your original agreement with the customer? I assumed the customer provided all the parts so I didn't think his faulty parts should effect how you feel about the job you actually completed.

The upsetting thing is just basically you set out to do something and spend a lot of time on it only to not have it work. But lesson learned.
+Honda Street Garage I still have to finish up running the new brake lines and replacing all the bearings and bushings and I'm sure some more shit. But next on the list is a b20 for my 95 integra ls, up here from a place called VA jdm motors you can get a jdm "higher" compression B20for 400 or 375$ if you are any good at dickerin'. With Christmas coming up probably won't get to it till spring....
I just bought a 93 b18b1 del sol they had the timing 180* off so I threw a b20b with a tucked OBD2 harness could me not having the crank sensor hooked up make it not want to ignite the coil right and flood the plugs with fuel?
My buddy's got a crx with a b20b and I drove it it spinns first a lil and 2gear will just chirp the tires. Power feels so flat and it's as fast as a2011 crv wth the k24 does that sound right or should it feel faster. Ive had 4 crxs and the d16 feels similar to the power

Should i match the colors or the other way around? And what would you do about the throttle cable

Not a good idea to put the oil line to the head directly to the back of the block like that you can crack it. Use an oil sandwhich next time.

Max Herman match the colors. Go to the Acura dealer and get a gsr that otter cable.
