Oddly enough this takes me back to when I'd bought my 1st house in 1978 testing out my new HiFi gear. Just bought Life stock. Still love this music as much after all these years
Isn't that the truth! What a time (1974-'81) that was. I mean, Genesis (Collins) was kicking-ass (after Gabriel left) with albums like "Trick of the Tail". And then as well, RTF, Weather Report, Ponty etc....and then almost, like a cherry on top, there's.....X! SHIT! What a time! - Magic, was happening!!!
Nice! I was at this show! Thanks so much for the upload and great video quality! You must be a big Goodsall fan... Never drove so far for a concert in 40 years of concert going...Middle of nowhere, Freezing cold, got lost, GPS woudn't work...:)...Totally worth it...We sat right in front of Kenwood...They played EVERYTHING I wanted to hear...A fan since the 70's...What's weird is they called it the "First and Last" concert, then came back...:)...Great band!

@@ericarmstrong6540 - I know I'm gonna sound ignorant, but - Really ? Percy was on all that ? I got all the ENO stuff and then I would study the jacket liners notes. I only knew of Brand-X through a buddy who had Livestock. Then I got PRODUCT and things went from there.
@@laredolenny682 He's on all that. He plays on two or three tracks on "Music for Films", about the same number on "Another Green World", and on "Before & After Science" I know for a fact he plays on "Kurt's Rejoinder". Percy's fretless bass sound is so distinctive.
@@ericarmstrong6540 - Yes. I was thinking about Before and After Science and I could hear that Bass line. So, did Percy play with Fripp with ENO as well ?
@@ericarmstrong6540 - Yeah, yesterday, after I listened to this song, " Nuclear Burn, Zappa showed up in my Feed on YT. He played Black Napkins from 1976 I think it was. Or maybe 72. Anyhow, the Chord structure was almost identical once Black Napkins was about 3/4 through. And, I'm not taking anything away from either group of Musicians. I was just surprised at the similarity.
This song should really have been played on a Stratocaster.. the sound was perfect. And while Kenwood Dennard is a fantastic drummer.. What Phil Collins played is such a strong part of the song for me. Rest in peace the great under appreciated John Goodsall
The Liveversion, "Euthanasia Waltz" from the LP "Livestock" from the seventies is much better than this from 6.10.17! Of course, it's only my Opinion! At that Time John Goodsall plays his Part wonderfull of Euthanasia Waltz! I am a German and my english is not very well and so have pity!
R.I.P. John Goodsall !!!!

I have been onboard since 1977. X is light years beyond 99.9% balancing composition and musicianship.
