For the jumping spiders... You could try to put the hide on the top of the enclosure. Then they would have a little hole in the ceiling to climb up into and web up. My teen son has a tiny jumping spider set up in a mason jar that has a plastic lid that he has to unscrew off. His spider kept webbing on the threads of the jar and he was having to break her web all the time. He glued a bottle lid onto the top of the jar lid and his spider webbed it up and moved into it, instead of on the jar lid like it had been doing.
i spent an hour trying to find your channel and im not disappointed. i watched your channel a few years ago and loved your content. you helped me with my fear of spiders and can safely say that i find tarantulas adorable. keep up the great content dude!!
Petko today I was feeling a little off, work and university just drown you out sometimes, but I just came here to watch your video, see how you are so nice so genuine showing us your passion, thanks man
Just an idea for the enclosures and shipping. What if you didn't have them fully assembled, but more of a build it yourself kind of kit. Then you could have all the acrylic pieces flat, laid on top of each other in a stack for shipping. They would be sturdy, take up less space and you could even possibly ship them in just one of those large cardboard envelopes instead of a big bulky box. You could make simple instructions for how to assemble the pieces and it might make it easier all around to ship. I live in the U.S.A. so I'm not sure if you want to try and ship here or if you are only doing more local for the giveaway, but I would love to help out with your trial run. Consider this my entry into the giveaway :)
Oh! What about a link to a playlist of videos where you show your enclosure build content and rehousing as well as the instructions on how to put your products together
i thought the same thing about my jumpers so i tried that.. then they proceeded to hide behind the hides instead of in them lol. must be what it's like having kids lmao
Great video as always! Will have to say, Linothele and Harmonicon sp have to be my favorite spiders. Long lived Mygalomorphs, lightning quick, amazing feeding response, huge spinnerets, lots of web, very cool indeed!
Hey ... Long time sub but first time post. just wanted to say hello from Ontario Canada! big herp culture here and were picking up what you're putting down lol. Phenomenal job with English as second language, you're killing it.
My female laid an egg web!!!!! My Phiddipus Audax that is!!! Your babies look very happy! I think that last one you fed would have shook the roach like a dog if it could have LOL. I didnt reply to the enclosure giveaway as I am in the USA but you are of course so generous!! Hell I would be happy with just a sticker LOL.
Love your videos I also love spiders I've bought 37 tarantulas this last 2 months and been making RUclips videos about them , starting my first breeding project soon and I'm very excited 😄
Those spiders remind me of the ones in The Hobbit movie, the ones that talk. Lots of webbing, they have similar look if i recall, and they move fast in branches. I did not know about this specie but they look really good !
I really like the new enclosures! Hopefully you will start selling them to the USA soon. I would happily pay for customs and shipping if you want to test out the shipping to USA. Just let me know 😀💙🕷
Very interesting that they dug a hide spot in the corners.... Should be awesome to observe these guy's again.... Definetly a fan-favorite in the Dark Den
Very nice enclosures, I’d love to get one for my first ever jumping spider. I posted on your Facebook too. The dark den logo would look amazing on my mantis shelf 😂
I raised the same jumping spider that you have but mine was a female and they do not like hides. The female will web a cocoon that she will mostly live in but if you give her a small little home (and you did put one in her enclosure (you will need to put the little home up near the top), and she will lay her eggs in the same cocoon. If the male does not fertilize the eggs or her, you will have to remove the egg sack after a while. Jumping spiders only live from 1 to 2 years and mine lasted a little over a year. Your jumpers are small enough that they need smaller food like smaller coach roaches; yours are too big for them. They love crickets and wax worms. Wax worms are like a desert for jumpers so don't give it to them all the time. Mostly crickets and cock roaches.
Petko what other species do you know of that are similar to Linothele sericata? I have a L sericata and like you say "I love these spiders" I need more like them
I posted on instagram. My husband saw the enclosure and immediately wanted to know if we could buy them 😆 so we are definitely ready for them! I hope you can sell them soon 😄
would it be possible to ship them flat? like broken down to reduce the shipping box sizes and possibly reduce damage or would that require too much assembly?
It rarely gets mentioned, but find a thrigmopoeus truculentus if you don't have one. They're amazingly heavy webbers, and put my GBBs and OBTs to shame in that department.
I always see people keep their jumping spiders hammocks in a walnut shell with a magnet attached to the top. Since they dont make many web hammocks in their lifetime
Just thought I’d let you know that there’s an ant shop in the EU called ant store that sells bullet ants, as in the bullet ant (Pareponera clavata), thought you’d be interested
Those enclosures, are they fruitfly-proof? i use a simular one that i got of amazon the one you need to use rubberbands to keep together. they have served me well after i just used some silicon to keep any water inside if i add moisture anyway the problem i realy have with them is that fruitflys can escape just at the hinge if i dont put a weight on the lid, how well do these work for that?
Hi Petko, could you make a video (accelerate or time-lapse) of how tarantulas "suck" cockroaches? How long does the process take? Maybe use a macro lens on the body. See you later!
I wouldn't take a bite from Linothele. They're definitely nothing to sneeze at. Yet, not a bigger problem than the more potent tarantulas. But I wouldn't wanna take a bite from those either.
There were some scientists who trained a jumping spider to jump on que and to where they wanted just 4 or 5 years ago! You can google it. They place the intelligence close to that of a dogs!!
These spiders are so cool! Will they get the blue coloration on their legs yet, or are they already full grown? Either way, they're super fun to watch!
I have no idea how venomous those spiders are, but I would be surprised if the Old World / New World rule applied to non-tarantula Mygalomorphs anyway, given the stronger venom of Old World tarantulas is typically attributed to the lack of urticating bristles
Does anyone happen to know which video had the adult linothele that died in it? I remember watching it and thinking how weird it was but I can't find the video now.
There are those of us who never wanted anything to do with the exit and there are those of us who wanted to divorce England and by England I mean London 😂
I have only one crested gecko, but I want to get spider. Enclosure from you would be my treause. I watch you for more than 4 years now, so if my first spider will get enclosure from u... that will be special
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE AFRICAN SNATCHING SPIDER?...... HOLY CRAP THAT PHUCKERS NASTY LOOKING!! HALF SPIDER HALF ALIEN, you ever think about getting one of those bad boys??
i don't get why Petko can't have snakes. i know his wife doesn't like them, but the DD is completely separate from the actual house, right? it's not like the animals are in the bedroom or the dining table.
Video ended @ 14:14 but continued in black mode until 20:13 looks like you have your battery working overtime now Petko LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
14:22 onwards is great!
😆
it is the true DARK Den
KEKW
ha good one I was wondering though 😊
I always love how he sees his mistakes and tries to figure it out to fix it. Awesome personality quality to have!
Him sharing in the learning process helps teach me so many things. ❤

I second this! Jumping spiders almost always web as high as possible. So if you put that hid on the lid I bet they would use it.

Honestly youve got me friggin HYPED for those small acrylic enclosures
It's always a good day in the dark den
The Dark Den acrylic enclosures are so beautiful. ♥️
Those enclosures are so nice! I especially love the Dark Den logo!
Try putting the hides for the jumping spiders on the lid and then they should utilize them
i thought the same thing about my jumpers so i tried that.. then they proceeded to hide behind the hides instead of in them lol. must be what it's like having kids lmao
Excellent!
Enjoy the expo on Sunday!!
I love the little dark den logo on the enclosures.
Love your vids bro. Keep it up :3 always relaxing to hear your voice in the background of my work!
First 14 minutes of the video: The Dark Den
Last 6 minutes of the video: The VERY Dark Den
The darkest den
Great video as always! Will have to say, Linothele and Harmonicon sp have to be my favorite spiders. Long lived Mygalomorphs, lightning quick, amazing feeding response, huge spinnerets, lots of web, very cool indeed!
2:59 I have two new jumper spiders and need 2 of your enclosure and please love Jo Jo 3:57
Omg I blinked and the roach was bye bye lol… I love it❤
The enclosures are so pretty. I really like the etching of the dark den tarantula as well.

Love your new hair-do 👌
Always nice to see these animals.
Hey Petko I truly love the new enclosures and would love to get some in the future, I’m in the USA though, so sadly I’ll have to wait.
Petko what other species do you know of that are similar to Linothele sericata? I have a L sericata and like you say "I love these spiders" I need more like them
Hell yeah!! Great video 👍

Yo that was awesome, love ❤️ the enclosures, nice 🕸️ webbing and 🆒 takedowns.thankyou Petco.🕷️💕

thanks for the vid!
The next time these two newcomers are hungry, please try a slow-mo recording.
Sid is doing very well! I look forward to sexy time if it's in the cards for him so handsome!
Petko none of my JS' have ever used these pods for a nest they may go into them but none have ever webbed them up.
Turn playback speed to 0.25 at these time stamps - 12:34 & 13:01 to see the takedowns in slow motion! Enjoy! 🕷💙🦉
try putting the hide on top of the lid in the middle, that could work better
New Aragogs make for great feeding sessions!
Maybe if you put the hide on the top, Sid will web it up !
I really hoped you'd get a linothele megateloides again, the web your last one made was kinda sick
Could you sell the enclosures as a diy/flat pack? Kind of like Ikea 😄
Please, what desk lamp do you have? Love from UK.
I love your videos ❤
(and i kept waiting for the post-blackness scene 😂❤)
I always see people keep their jumping spiders hammocks in a walnut shell with a magnet attached to the top. Since they dont make many web hammocks in their lifetime
Id love these enclosures but im in uk love you vlogs xxx
A little bit of Germany for texture

I expected some bonus content at the end but instead... 😂
Sweet take down footage!
A love wee jumping spiders they are so cutie how intelligent they are?
There were some scientists who trained a jumping spider to jump on que and to where they wanted just 4 or 5 years ago! You can google it. They place the intelligence close to that of a dogs!!
If i want to order your enclosures, am i able to without going through a glass smith near me? All i see on your webshop is the parts
These spiders are so cool! Will they get the blue coloration on their legs yet, or are they already full grown? Either way, they're super fun to watch!
have you been playing Deltarune? I was not expecting RuddeBuster here of all places, very cool.
my little guys would love these !! i hope canada is not too far !!!
I didn’t know Canada was part of Europe 😁
@@cathyb1273 🤣🤣 It's not. Someone wasn't listening very well. 🤨😝
I want an enclosure pleaseee!!!!
I have no idea how venomous those spiders are, but I would be surprised if the Old World / New World rule applied to non-tarantula Mygalomorphs anyway, given the stronger venom of Old World tarantulas is typically attributed to the lack of urticating bristles

Hey, sadly i dont have instagram, maybe you can do a giveaway via youtube someday.
Love the design of those enclosures. Great work keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
There are those of us who never wanted anything to do with the exit and there are those of us who wanted to divorce England and by England I mean London 😂
Did anyone else’s video end at the 15:00 mark instead of the 20 minutes it said it was? 😂
Petko what happened? 😂
I have only one crested gecko, but I want to get spider. Enclosure from you would be my treause. I watch you for more than 4 years now, so if my first spider will get enclosure from u... that will be special

Linothele are in the family of Dipluridae and not Theraphosidae so no tarantula
