Have these guys all over my back yard!! I absolutely love them! They are so sweet, love to interact with people and are so smart!!! I play with them all the time!❤❤❤. I find some on regular basis that are injured or just not doing well. I've been wanting to get a couple in closures so I can rescue them. Sadly with my current financial situation, it will prob be a while before I can, but hopefully you will still be selling your enclosures because I definitely plan to buy some for you for my spider rescues!! Love what you do! Thank you so much for your videos. Between you, exotics lair, tarantula kat and all the local jumping spiders have helped me cure my arachnophobia! I owe all of you so much. I've gone from a severe phobia to a respectful relationship with them and can finally see just how amazing and adorable our little 8 legged friends are❤
Thanks for the shoutout Petko! Wow that was a long time ago, our old packaging and colours 😅. I agree with you, Nancy is huge! I thought my adult female, Betty was big but she was nowhere near as big as Nancy ☺️
It is EXTREMELY rare for me to comment on anyone's videos, with that being said my back yard is riddled with jumping spiders and what made me come back to this video to post this comment is that one has finally decided to jump on me. It should be noted that I have arachnophobia. My son heard me freaking out and asked why I love watching your videos. Because it's started as me trying to unsuccessfully get over my fear and I love your energy.
I love love love jumpers. They're the puppy of the spider world. You probably could have gotten away with using less substrate in the female's enclosure. Your new lady is so cute and floofy!!! Sid and Nancy are perfect names!!
Gorgeous! Jumping spiders are so cute! I finally got my hands on one after 51 years of living on this planet, was just a zebra in the garden, but so bloody cute! ❤
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the collaboration you have with these guys in the band. So nice of you to promote their work, and they're really good! Plus it was cool of them to do that for you... respect both ways!
The Bearded Shrimp makes the single best hide for jumpers--it's their hex shaped tube hides (they also have star and heart shaped tubes, but the hex is the best shape for the spoods, IMO). My spiders all love them. They sit on top, climb all over, and make hammocks inside. My spoods that didn't take to them immediately always ended up there with their next molt. "Oh, Nancy, you're on the floor!" 😄
10:02 That is actually very clever. Every time I want to feed my girl a mealworm, I have to put her in what I call "the feeding container" with the mealworm, and then move her back into her enclosure when she's done.
I'm just back from a holiday in Portugal and we had these little jumping spiders in the house! Much more interesting than all the weird long legged things have in my house back in the UK.
They're so cute! The males are always black and white with green chelicerae, but the females can be lots of different colors which is why the new girl looks so different from the one you had before🤗 Can't wait for babies from these two!! Edit: I should clarify that female P. regius can also be black and white with green chelicerae. So if the spider has that coloration, it's likely a male but there is a possibility it's female, where if the spider is any other color, it's definitely female!
I love the enclosures you built for them! I hope they settled in well, I'm sure they will live their best lives with you! The reason why they look so different from Kiwi is because they are different localities. Sid and Nancy are probably the Nord Florida variant (we're not entirely sure because their parents were not labeled when we bought them) while Kiwi could have been a White Bahamas. Greetings from Germany :)
Jumpers are a GREAT way to get over arachnophobia. I speak from experience! They really are adorbs and my P. audax lady is just such a badass. Like everyone's grandmother. 🤣
Your white spider is a Phiddipus regius Bahamas. It's also not recommended to use a top opening enclosure as they make their web hammocks high in the corners, so you will be destroying his web everytime you open to feed or mist. This can be fatal if they are molting so front opening enclosures is what's recommended for jumping spiders. Hope this helps
@TheDarkDen - P. regius has multiple color forms, because it's present in so many different areas of America. Kiwi was a Florida color form, while these two are some sort of Caribbean form.
Yes!!! Jumpers are my favorite spiders! So happy you have them again. Sid and Nancy are so cute! Can't wait for babies. I will say that I caught one once and she was alone for like 2 months and then magically had babies so don't be to surprised if she has kids before sexy time happens. 🤣🕷❤
When I was gardening I found two little jumping spiders chasing (running and jumping away from) each other. But they were the size of an eraser on a pencil. Much smaller than yours. They were on my fence next to my strawberry plants. They were cool to see. Still had to remind myself they couldn't hurt me (I'm still working on my arachnophobia), baby steps forward are better than NO steps forward!
Hey Petko you are absolutely my favourite person that got a lot of spiders and makes videos about them 😁 And your videos are the perfect monday's bedtime stories, Thanks for so much happiness 🕷
I think jumping spiders are the only breed of spider that doesn't absolutely terrify me. I don't know what it is about them, but whenever I see one, my brain goes, "Nope, not scary. CUTE!"
😂I'm glad to see you still alive! I saw a video of all your old world t's several years ago (my thought seeing those fangs and vicious attitudes). Sure missed watching your video, they are so awesome. I moved to a small area with very low internet, then life moved on. Love your accent, and love your passion. Hugs from Texas!!
Wishing you alot of fun with big chungus, Sid and all their babies in the future. Our other Female just laid her first eggsack about a week ago. We had a blast meeting you! :) p.s. awesome enclosures
Hi Petko, great to see you got new jumping spiders! 🥳 they’re so cool! I recently bought a pair of P. regius, too! They’re still juvenile, but I hope to get some babies from them. I like their personalities and to interact with them, awesome little spiders 🕷 ❤
Darling jumpers!!!!!! They used to live all around me all here in the Midwest, but sadly I haven't seen any for a while and if I do it's few and far between. I wanted to house the last female that I saw, but I figured it was best for her to just go on with her life.
Petko absolutely adorable jumping spider's my friend. Where I live I see jumping spider's very similar to your little friends. Very fascinating species. Great video sending love and support from the United States New Jersey.
Hey Jersey!! Born n raised in Piscataway!! I luv jumpers n unfortunately never saw any till I moved to PA . I started keeping captive bred ones n they really are such awesome little dudes ❤❤❤
They are both gorgeous! Their puppy dog eyes are precious! Absolutely love jumpers and in a previous video, I asked if your terrariums would be suitable for jumping spiders. Guess we'll find out! 🕸🕷💙
Cool enclosures petko congratulations ❤❤❤ there so cute kiwi was my fav of the tiny spiders 💚❤️💚❤️but the patterns on the female are wicked how fascinating 🕷🕸🕸🕸
My one male regal jumper “ mochi” loved when I cut a hole in a ping pong ball n glued it to the inside of his enclosure!! He had it all webbed up inside n cozy !!! I’ve always loved the P Regius species !! They’re so big n chunky !! The males look like little gorillas w those big arms 😂❤
OMG Nancy so cute i have a bold jumping spider and she on eggs and name her jade as her fangs are blues colour cannot wait for them to hatch anytime now so glad you have them again mine same color and she a female Phidippus audax
14:38 HAHAHA how rude!! yes my jumping spider poops on me, so gross haha even if it's tiny. i have a male regal JS, I'm gonna gift him to my brother who loves them, and maybe buy a female because actually in the time between buying my regal and gifting him tomorrow, I fell in love!! they are amazing little things!!

They occur every week 😉
True!!!
Thanks for the shoutout Petko! Wow that was a long time ago, our old packaging and colours 😅. I agree with you, Nancy is huge! I thought my adult female, Betty was big but she was nowhere near as big as Nancy ☺️
I subscribed to you 😀💙
Jumpers are too cute. They helped me so much to understand spiders and not be scared of them. Now I have 1 jumper and 3 tarantulas
look at this little face, it melts my heart, the jumping spiders are really too cute
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jumping spiders are the only arachnid I’m not terrified by, they’re so cute and have great personalities
Jumping spiders are my fav, would love to see more of Nancy and Sid!!

Awesome track! 🤘🖤 and everything else; of course. I love the simplicity and attention to detail. Great combination. 👌

I see these spiders where I live regularly when it is warm. Love them!

Crazy to come back to your channel after 6 years and you almost at 650k subs bro congrats💪🙏
I do remember your other jumping spider kiwi, I miss her.
Never thought I would say this about a spider (I‘m usually terrified of spiders) but these little guys are just so freaking adorable ❤
Jumpers are a GREAT way to get over arachnophobia. I speak from experience! They really are adorbs and my P. audax lady is just such a badass. Like everyone's grandmother. 🤣
Oh my goodness, I'm sooo excited about the new jumpies! They are so adorable and beyond cute 😍 I really hope they mate and have little jumpy babies.

Awsome Petco! Kiwi was my absolute favourite. Very glad you have jumpers again bro. 🤘🏻👍🏻
Jumping spiders are awesome, it's cool seeing them get more popular
Ah man, I really liked Bonnie and Clyde for names but I love the names you gave them.
@TheDarkDen - P. regius has multiple color forms, because it's present in so many different areas of America. Kiwi was a Florida color form, while these two are some sort of Caribbean form.
my favorite person that has alot of spiders and makes videos about them

Love your channel the videos are always so interesting and enjoyable was also wondering if you can suggest a spider for a beginner/first spider?
I love jumping spiders. It would be awesome if you could get a male and female Peacock Jumping Spider pair. The mating ritual is stunning to see.
They are both gorgeous! Their puppy dog eyes are precious! Absolutely love jumpers and in a previous video, I asked if your terrariums would be suitable for jumping spiders. Guess we'll find out! 🕸🕷💙
With those names, I'm a little scared for when you try to mate them. O.O

They drink by misting the sides of the enclosure every couple days. They will still web at the top no matter the hide or not, they are arboreal.
