Rock Stopperz are great!! First "mod" I did on my JT. I had to touch up some chips first with a paint stick (extremely hard to find in Sarge Green) But now hinges are protected. Looking forward to more of your tips.

Another tip to help protect the hinges is to add mud flaps. I added the Wathertech to the front only to keep and rocks off the side. I see your JL already has those.

I chose the weathertech for cost and looks OEM. I didn't feel I needed the rear and I was concerned about clearance. Love your channel btw. Lots of good practical advice. Glad you got the new Jeep.@@CheaperJeeperTV

Dino....another useful video from you. Keep them coming. Actually I have had more issues with my rear fenders than the hinges. Even with the factory applied protective film I managed to get a few dings on the rear finders.

Thank you! Will try them - not sure if they stay on over the winter or survive Car Wash. I found a different solution though! When I bought my jeep after a month I noticed scratch marks on the doors and sides by the rear end - blamed my car washer at first. But then I realized - the mud terrain tires catch and catapult gravel back that hit the sides of my car and door hinges. I bought a pair of RokBlokz mud flaps, Rubicon, XL - they are removable and solved the problem completely. Jeep really have to install them from the factory - very functional! In the winter it also keeps my car cleaner. There were days in the winter when my car was covered with muddy snow all the way to the roof - I couldn't even open my door. This mud flaps solved the problem. I tried some cheaper ones - looks fine, but not wide enough for when you turn especially in 4H mode.

What a good idea! Sometimes the most ingenious things are really simple. My Jeep sitting outside probably has tears in its eyes (LOL) because the hinges are already messed up. Time for touch-up paint.

Rock Stopperz are the first thing I put on my Rubicon X when I picked it up in September. They don’t yet make them for the windshield hinges but I put the door hinge protectors on them also. not a perfect fit but at least they give some protection.
