Good job Dino. Had you considered using butyl rubber tape like 3M Weatherban Sealant Tape, 5354 instead of the foam? Foam tends to absorb and hold onto water when/if it gets wet.

Thanks Dino, that looks awesome! Only addition I’d like to change up would be the ability to use my ignition key to open the locks…like a Bolt lock. Less keys the better. I’d probably store my tow ropes, first aid, bear mace, flares, physical safety and other protection tools in it. Have a happy new year’s! 🎉
My son installed the same Tuffy box in his 2020 JL this week. He plans on using it for rescue gear as well as his first aid kit.

Great Video Content Dino. I just got my 2024 two door and have been debating whether to install a storage box or a folding table. The storage box provides lockable storage and function as a table. Removing the plastic panel saves space and stress on the tailgate. Your video sealed the deal for me, Thanks!

Great video Dino. I was going to install a flip down table on the tailgate, but this is an interesting alternative. You may want to keep the weight low in the storage box especially if you have the standard tailgate hinges with a larger tire and rim.

I have a tailgate table so this item isn't for me, but I do want their underseat lock box. I took out my rear seats and installed Cargo Dog Storage System. I love it. I still want the under driver's seat box though.
Yes, your idea about removing the plastic created a perfect fit against the tailgate. You answered my question at the end, as I wondered if enough air would move through the spaces as doors were shut quickly up front. I've got a fold-down steel stove shelf there (from one of your earlier videos) & use my campstove up there often. 😔 So many neat things we can do on our Jeeps!

Nice job Dino. Really good tip to not have to drill into the plastic piece.. and have it sit more flush to the jeep. Is there any rattling at all when driving?
