Zippy Plumber did a pipe pull for me earlier this year. The Plumber’s name was Sean. He did an amazing job. He probably taught this Plumber everything he knows. Great Job guys!
My 1 inch PVC water line is several hundred feet long and has several barb couplings banded with stainless steel hose clamps in its length. Can you burst the pipe through one of these couplings?
We abandoned the old line and bored ( drilled ) a new path from Meter to House. Once the boring bit reached the house we attach the new Poly line and the rig pulls it back. Then Voila new water main from Meter to House.
@@2big2h89 I have a meter that the water company moved to the mainstreet. The line is180 feet underneath someone else’s commercial building, it’s blue poly B, or blue polybutylene. The only good news, it is a dead straight pull. Do you think it is doable? I can get a 200 foot cable, but I have never done it before and this would be my one and done.

Nice job! Clean and concise job!
Thank you. I now know my best option.

Do you have any tricks to replace a 70 y/o corroded galvanized steel water service line under a concrete slab?
what is the average cost compared to standard replacement trenching.
What to do if the pipe is galvanized?
What brand pulling kit are you guys using? I’m a plumber in Pennsylvania and have been looking into these
what is the maximum distance you can pull this way?
Os that just pex?
Great work guys. Curious to know what happens if the old pipe is so damaged and cannot be used to guide the new casing through it ?
You can always shoot your own path and leave the old pipe in the ground. It's called a line bore
Yeah we mostly do Directional boring. Will drill amd pull a 1 1/2" poly sleeve and push in a 1" pex.

What is the longest distance you can pull? What type of pipe did you replace it with? Thanks.
100 feet

Does the smaller diameter effect the water pressure to the property? Thanks
Yes if they downsize the pipe it will
Can you replace a copper line with a new copper line? What about replacing 1/2" copper with 3 /4" ? I hate Pex. I don't want to drink from Pex.
Nooooooo don’t put lex in the ground
