Similar to last year’s official debut lol with lots of enthusiasts and commuters welcoming this model, but this time hopefully 839/840 (as the first ever R151 train on NSL) will not be replaced unlike 825/826 (the first official R151 train) and run throughout the day (similar to C151B 685/686 on CGL this Tuesday). :(I took it back, as 839/840 got replaced by 659/660 instead. I will not film the full R151 NSL Journey for now until most of these enthusiasts have settled and film enough of the model's debut, which I would probably film and ride (peacefully, as my preference as always) it during the peak hours when it gets deployed
to all enthusiasts, pls serve this as a reminder to BEHAVE and not be a NUISANCE even at MSP and other quiet stns. This is not the first time this has happened, and we have received MANY complaints from the public because of this. Do you want us as a COMMUNITY to get into legal trouble, then follow them. If not, be civil and do what's right

For this case, it will be similar if the train decides to deploy during the weekday peak hours next week and no enthusiasts are present on the train, then I might consider riding peacefully
Oh my goodness... I was surprised it just debuted today on the North South Line. I didn't get to witness the debut whilst I was away in Kuching, Malaysia, but at least i can picutre if i was there today. Thanks for sharing the video.

Fun fact!!! The first R151 to be manufactured, which is 801/802, also managed to debut on EWL on the same day, as the 21st R151!😊 It's such a coincidence to have 2 R151s debuting on the same day, with 1 on each line!

Many other transport enthusiasts like myself have spent many years doing our best to build a proper and positive reputation among the public eye, and we most definitely do not need a group of inconsiderate hooligans like whatever the hell I just saw in this video destroying all of that hard work. You want members of the public to respect you and the hobby, and yet you choose to do the very things that make people loath this interest and our community. There is a fine line between enjoying the hype of a new train debuting, and just straight up acting like complete idiots. Neither do members of the public, nor should other transport enthusiasts condone such idiotic behavior. There are transport enthusiasts in Japan and Hong Kong who behave like this and are heavily frowned upon, we don't need them in Singapore now. do better, stop acting like a bunch of 5-year-old children. As someone who is sort of in this transport community I am absolutely ashamed to be apart of this community after the events of what happened here. Sure, I am glad that it finally debut on the nsl. Well unfortunately, 839/840 was withdraw at AMK D/C at around 10PM and is replace by 659/660

- 4 June 2023 (East-West Line)
- 25 May 2024 (North-South Line)
